    Thanks for the review. The pump is orange and looks like that because they are a tribute to the original basketball pumps. As someone who was a kid in the 90s when those came out, I love that they did it that way. The best are the white with blue woman's version which was the original colourway.

    I used Rom 2’s for years and loved them but they were slightly too narrow. Then I picked up some legacy 2’s and loved those but my pup decided he needed them to chew, so I took your recommendation and ended up with legacy 3’s and am really impressed so far 👍. Downside, I too have flipper feet…

    I managed to pick these up with a 35% discount, coming from the Adidas Power Perfect 3. They are simultaneously more secure and more comfortable than the PPs. The pump system makes lacing down the shoes tight a lot more comfortable for me. Bought the black/blue ones. For anyone interested in sneakers the colours are actually kinda interesting. They’re all throwbacks to shoes from Reebok’s past, like mine are Shaq’s first signature shoe. Think they’re doing it for the nostalgia factor, now that Reebok no longer is part of the adidas group.

    I remember a video with Andrei Aramnau's quest for getting new weightlifting shoes. He was sent a pair of the original Adipowers which he did not like. Then he was sent a pair of the original Legacy lifters which he liked initially before deciding that the high heel was throwing him off. He finally settled on the Power Perfect 2's which he ended up wearing at the 2019 world championships.
    I always thought that 3/4" heel was the standard for weightlifting shoes. It seems like the new weightlifting shoes coming out in the last half decade have all been higher than that.

    Great review, very knowledgeable, thanks! When you reviewed nike romaleos 4 you pointed out the problem with the toes not making contact with the floor like you would expect from a running trainer. Do you find there is a similar issue with legacy or not? I haven't tried them but it kinda looks that way.

    I was looking for this review on your channel as i discovered Reebok was shipping to my country, leaving my options to adipower 3's, romaleos 4 and Reebok legacy 3's. Didnt find the review so I just ordered the 3's, ofc one day before you guys release this video. I really need maximal heel height, hope I made the right choice.

    I’m new to weightlifting so I don’t know how weightlifting shoes are supposed to “feel,” but this shoe just doesn’t feel secure enough i.e. the lace and strap can’t be tied tight enough. The sizing should be good since there isn’t much room in front of my toes

    At one point you guys mentioned it may not be the best fit for a lower weight class/well mobile person (hello, it's me). What shoe would come to your mind in that case? Currently using Rom4s, but they already seem tight, both in midfoot and by the toes af. Thinking about giving something else a shot.

    • @the.Aruarian
      @the.Aruarian ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe give the Savaleos a shot. Roms 4’s are .75”, Savs are .59”. Otherwise the Inov-8 FastLift 325 are supposedly pretty good, very light and .65” heel height.
      Otherwise might be worth looking into shoes for Powerlifting or Crossfit.

    • @Dwuboista
      @Dwuboista ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@the.Aruarian Savaleos is too sneakers-ish. Soft and sloppy feeling.
      I had given a thought to a crossfit shoe before, but the lack of lateral support makes me think it wouldn't be a very good idea.
      I had also given a thought to Tyr's shoe, but it's hardly available in my region. The vision of not having my toes cramped up to the point of discomfort is quite tempting, ngl.
      For now I've reduced effective heel height and that poking arch support by throwing out the insoles and putting in normal flat ones in my Rom4s. Builtin ones give probably some 30% of the heelheight so... yeah.

    • @the.Aruarian
      @the.Aruarian ปีที่แล้ว

    Would you recommend this shoe for a 5'10" guy with good, but not great, ankle mobility? I can squat high bar ATG in flats, but obviously some heel would help. I've tried the Adipower 3's (first lifting shoe I've tried) and the heel height felt good, though sadly the fit of the shoe is utter crap. Looking at the Legacy 3's as an alternative but a bit worried about the heel height.
