Hey everyone, this guide is a bit dated. The method to obtain the trinket remains the same. However, now that The War Within is out there have been a few changes in the game itself. You can now skip both the Maw and Oribos questlines in Shadowlands. However, if you skip Oribos questline you will permanently brick that character and all shadowlands loot will require level 50 to use/equip. Do NOT skip Oribos questline when youre making your twinks. Additionally even trading items to this character will require lvl 50 from what I have been told. I have not confirmed this part yet though. There is no fix for this once you have skipped the quest lines. You will need to remake your character.
Quick note to add here that I forgot to add in the video. If youre on a warrior, you will need someone to run with you to get this drop. It will not drop for warriors.
@@uunffofficial another question (ty for the quick answer for the other one btw!!), does the other person not only have to be a spec that can receive the the trinket, but also have to be the same or similar level as you?
the trinket has been fixed afaik. im in current timeline, queueing for classic dgs and it only does 6 dmg per bolt. i obtained it by doing shadowlands tw and walking to the instance to solo
@ NP, I heard that if skipped you cant revisit it, however Im not sure about those created prior to this change and if you can go back and knock them out or not.
@@eeboas003 Wait, when you first do the quests youre meant to fly to bastion, if you skipped the oribos starting quests it asks you to pick a faction, if you didnt it makes you go to bastion. Your toon may be bricked unfortunately.
I want to say I got it to drop for the druid but as dps boomkin loot spec/kitty spec. Monk as dps, agi based. Might need an agi based character to get it to drop.
@uunffofficial dropped for me also as front mage and also loot spec as demo lock. So got it on two characters. Testing on rogue. It is good but have not seen oneshoting boss.
I got it on my Brewmaster in about 15 runs. The only problem I am having currently is the damage doing very little damage. When I looted it, it was doing 6dps per bolt. When I changed to present timeline it was doing 60dps. When I changed it to WoD timeline and back it stayed at 6dps per bolt and cant seem to fix it.
@@rubens341 Ill check on it here soon, last I knew it worked flawlessly in present timeline but that timeline may have shifted with this expac launch and the timeline now has to be something else...not sure.
Apparently right now there's a bug where if you go into the shadowlands chromie timeline you'll be given an option to skip the maw and then a second option to skip a bunch of the RP. If you choose to skip the second batch of RP your character will be permanently locked into only being able to obtain level 50 gear with ilvl 252 from the dungeons even if you walk in and there's no way to revert it. Even if your level 11. Looks like I just wasted 12 hours gearing up a character just to ruin it at this step. Thanks blizzard.
Yeah you dont want to skip oribos questline at all. Not sure when this changed or started happening but you definitely want to complete the oribos questline.
@ unfortunately you may be slightly screwed in this regard. I’ve not had this issue personally but others reported that even traded items show level requirements on them if you skipped oribos.

@@ChicagoPaul2020 They have to be the same lvl and a spec that can actually obtain it unless you do legacy loot rules with a max level.

Are you queueing and then immediately reverting back to current timeline? And im not sure if it works in the event timewalking. But works elsewhere.
lvl 10 misweaver in chromie time (SL) items from N plaguefall are level 50? curious as to why i can't use....
You skipped Oribos questline on that character and now cant get any Shadowlands item to drop or be traded to you without them requiring lvl 50.

@ sorry this clip is dated and at the time of this recording this was not an issue. However I do have it updated in future guides.
