Well done Ben for working through the gun drop and posting it on the net. Simply puts an end to speculation. Like the infamous DQ for shooters (2 types of shooter - been Dq'd or going to be Dq'd) - same with dropping guns - you're either going to drop one or have dropped one - shit happens.

I was getting nervous after the fact everytime ben moved while the staccato was loaded & holstered 😅
I've dropped my CZ97 twice running doing drills. I need a better holster. It keeps landing right on my nice accu bushing and the crown of the barrel 😢 it's just a tool though. But it hurts the soul. I use a Shadow 2 holster for it and forget to tighten it down when I switch over.
I’d say that is more a problem with the holster not the gun.

Staccato does sell on thier site Blackhawk T-Series Holsters. Pair it with 10-8 Performance QLS ADAPTER and you now dont have to worry .
I get it though this type of shooting Retention isnt paramount but the T-Series does not slow you down . Should say for me it doesnt .
Of course I didnt pay attention to any else other than 2011 coming out of your holster .

Wow the recovery. Quick question when using your dry fire targets with the Mantis system and dry fire mag what would be a good distance to start with along with transitions?

Looks to me like he's only about 5 yds back, so to scale it with 1/3 size targets you'd be 5 feet back. But like he said if your looking at brown, you'll hit brown. The targets are ok, but honestly just try the drill with brown 1 inch pasters on the wall and aim at those. The distance and target scaling aren't that important the more you dryfire.

Yeah the staccato sucks and isn’t drop safe. Totally not a credible weapon.
