Wood Pellet Creation: The Process of Grinding Poplar into Chips | Fichthal V2 Farm | FS 22 | ep #14

Welcome back to the Fichthal V2 Farm Timelapse. Today, our focus is on supplying wood chips for our pellet and particle board production. We use our state-of-the-art NEW HOLLAND S2200 forage harvester and are in the process of purchasing a 130FB poplar header to increase efficiency. We also rely on two tractors and trailers to facilitate the whole operation.
The harvested poplar is transported to our factory where it is immediately unloaded into the receiving hopper. With our combined heat and power plant in full operation and generating profits from electricity sales, we have recently invested in a new Mercedes-Benz MB trac 1800 mid-sized tractor to further enhance our capabilities.
As production progresses and a significant quantity of pellets is produced, we load them into a tanker for transport to the designated point of sale.
