I want someone from this generation to make a song like this. It would go insanely viral because so many people miss this type of music. We're thirsting for it.
You are right about that. If I was able to get my foot in the door just halfway I would change everything and get us back to how music once was while making music in all categories of hip hop from conscious, club, hip hop/RnB, hip hop music for the kids and grown folks. I would make change for the better and not worry about the fortune or fame and just stay on my mission at all times to then Live through it and then be able to tell my stories just like how others are now like Fat Joe, 50 Cent, and others. If I was able to be a musician and was discovered I would make things right. However, unless GOD has that plan for me it is only a dream if not me for someone else to do in this terrible state we are in of Hip Hop and RnB. P S. Sorry for being so long winded. #GoodDay/Night & #GODBLESS

Back when majority of women in the industry were singers. Women have become so masculine these days. Now every chick wants to be rapper 🙄 Pretty women shouldn't rap in my opinion.. I don't care how good they are. It takes so much away from their femininity. 💯
@JayZ3 pfft do you even hear yourself guy. Weak asf opinion. More power to women in the rap game. It's definitely what the game needs. Shout out to Little Simz!
I miss being 12 now I'm 32 married with 6 children telling them the same thing 😭. My Mother used to always tell me enjoy being a child!!! Don't rush it. At least we can close our eyes and the music takes us back to those wonderful times. A lifetime is not as long as you think😢
Bow Wow & Ciara. Nelly & Kelly. Ashanti & Ja Rule. Jlo & Ll cool J. Alicia Keys & Usher Alicia Keys. Fabolous & Tamia. The Good ole days when DUETS were a thing
@Chelsia Brown no disrespect but fif and Olivia wasn't that great they simply copied the blueprint of Ja rule and Ashanti and thought they could do it better, as a way to get at murder inc.
This was originally her song that came off of her debut album back 1998. I’m glad they kept her for this song version. I❤️Ashanti but I don’t think her version is as good as Tamia’s on the hook.

I could listen to this type a music forever, its not just being nostalgic, the vibe is on point and the emotions you feel when u listen is just calming
This song reminds me of my deceased cousin and all the great times we had together throughout the 2000's. Se schooled me about world politics, hip-hop, women and how dress. May her soul rest in peace. Spesihle Hlulani you will always be remembered❤😣💔.
Man this takes me back to a world that was happpy, chill and just full of love. My wife found me, she would sing this song to me, life was really good, the world wasn't crazy and there was hope for a bright future... Rest in peace babe, I promise I will visit and bring flowers really soon
@isabellabeniako6618 we're still around, just silent, damaged and doing our best to put all the shards back together again. Usually we end up working in the wilderness and surrounding ourselves with wild animals, unfortunately most of us don't make it after losing hope so many times. Those men usually end up signing their lives away secretly hoping to catch a bullet so that it gives them the peace and love that their heart's crave. "It's better to have loved and lost than never to love at all". I don't know who first said that but I really understand the wisdom behind those words now. Have faith, you will find your knight in broken armour, just make sure that he still has the will to repair his armour and the determination to keep fighting and protecting no matter what.
This is the song I listened to when I told my ex wife that I loved her. Even though we didn’t make it, we shared a lot of love and had two wonderful kids. My deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan ended us. I’ll always regret choosing the Army over her. Thank you for everything MLR.
You had to do what you had to. Don’t be too hard on yourself fam. Keep your head up. You’re a good man and father. Just know we are all proud of you. Cheers.
Such a shame I lived through this era and took it for granted.. I use to hear this tune playing in the summer back then on the radio and music channels.. and just passed it off as a regular tune.. Fast foward 20 years and was listening to Kisstory radio.. and this tune came on.. and I gotta say it nearly brought a tear to my eye as this tune brought back so many fond memories it was a time of happiness music was what you would call music.. comparing to how times have changed for rhe worse now.. very sad..
Same! It was on 24/7 on mtv and on the radio...I knew the song simply from hearing it everywhere. Now i hear it and it takes me back like no other. I know every lyric somehow. Man...what a trip 🥺
This was posted up 8 months ago and has 10 million views. I’m glad there’s still people out there listening to good music! Btw this song was created in 2003
@@melloyello435 i was 8 in 1998 and I thought the Fabolous one was the original. When I discovered Tamia's version I was like wow, this is way better. Fabo's is still good, but it's chicken to Tamia's steak.
@@kevinhunt1202 Yeah, but I remember watching it on 106...It's where I remember seeing this video. I had just started the 6th grade. A lot of the preteens at the time that were into Hip-Hop R&B are very sentimental about this song. It reminds me of one of my first crushes.
The more we move forward, some very special things are fading. Very good music. It’s so sad. Nowadays we only artist and songs that say completely nothing
So amazing who songs like these can get everyone reminiscing the days when life was great. Thinking back on so many memories…*sigh* I truly miss these times.

The beats in the early 2000s were so good
Yup
@domo chucko -99% of the beats in hip hop ALL SOUND THE SAME. Its turned into a GARBAGE music genre.
Classic for ages!!! miss the good old days when we had songs like this
Back when majority of women in the industry were singers. Women have become so masculine these days. Now every chick wants to be rapper 🙄 Pretty women shouldn't rap in my opinion.. I don't care how good they are. It takes so much away from their femininity. 💯
@@jay_z3Not all of them. But i miss those music times too. I think we all do… ❤
Fab’s a beast
Well said xx absolutely
@JayZ3 pfft do you even hear yourself guy. Weak asf opinion. More power to women in the rap game. It's definitely what the game needs. Shout out to Little Simz!
July 2024 Still the best chill feel good song.. 5 ⭐
House phone days , girbaud jeans, white tees , and durags with fitted caps miss these times
SCOOT TV me too bruh. Simpler times
Girbaud jeans u hear me🗣️🗣️🗣️🤦🏾♀️💯💌
I miss being 12 now I'm 32 married with 6 children telling them the same thing 😭. My Mother used to always tell me enjoy being a child!!! Don't rush it. At least we can close our eyes and the music takes us back to those wonderful times. A lifetime is not as long as you think😢
I’m 32 not married no kids. How time flys.I guess those were the days.❤
That so beautiful 😂😂😂
Mann Real Talk, our generation of music was consistent hits, 90s and early 2000s undisputed lol closest thing to the hits and dusties 😂
I’m 13 enjoying childhood. Last year of middle school.
I was 13 when this song came out but Congrats on your family..
Bow Wow & Ciara. Nelly & Kelly. Ashanti & Ja Rule. Jlo & Ll cool J. Alicia Keys & Usher Alicia Keys. Fabolous & Tamia. The Good ole days when DUETS were a thing
Method Man and Mary J. Blige
Drake and Rihanna *new school
My childhood
@Chelsia Brown no disrespect but fif and Olivia wasn't that great they simply copied the blueprint of Ja rule and Ashanti and thought they could do it better, as a way to get at murder inc.
What about lil mo & fabolous
🎵 “…and ever since my superwoman has come to my rescue/my winters been wonderful, my summers been special…” ❤️ Always loved this particular verse 😊
Awww😊
this is one of the most iconic hiphop songs from the 2000's
very true
Tamia killing the hook. Still love her voice to this day.
Yeah the hook got me all the time. I write songs for local artists. I have searched old school vibes. They got the best melody ever.
Tamia is beautiful on this video and her voice
This was originally her song that came off of her debut album back 1998. I’m glad they kept her for this song version. I❤️Ashanti but I don’t think her version is as good as Tamia’s on the hook.
@@kingjames9306 exactly! I love Ashanti but only Tamia can sing this song.
*SUCH* an underrated talent!
So beautiful when you can be in love and TRULY BE ABLE TO LOVE WITHOUT HIDING LIKE YOUR KIDS BEING THERE HOLE FAMILY
Fabs voice is so silkky smooth!!
He took the Ma$e flow and did his own thing.
@@CaapriceA-fh5bi just on point 👉
Damn when you realize this music is never gonna be made anymore
Sad!
Hie

That’s cis black People need to get control back of our music!!!
listen to kelela
"She love my smile, no matter how chipped my tooth is." 💯❤
Her voice is smooth as silk😍
If anybody heading back to the early 2000's can I catch a ride? Just drop me off anywhere between 03'-05' and I'm good.
Nothing will ever beat old school music
I know right nothing
Got that right
Period
cuz old school music brings back memories

I think you're truly something special (Ooooh)
Just what my dreams are really made of (Dreams are really made of)
Let's stay together you and me boy (Ooo-ooo-ooh)
There's no one like you 'round, oh baby
Oh, I wanna love you, yeah yeah
[Fabolous & Tamia]
Uh, baby girl (Yeah, yeah)
Uh, uh, (Ooh)
Desert Storm, uh (Ooo-ooh)
Uh, uh huh, uh, uh huh, uh (Ooo-ooh)
Yeah, yeah, oh, uh
[Verse 1: Fabolous]
I can't really explain it
I'm so into you now, I want to be more than a friend of you now
When they ask, I mention my baby girl in the interviews now
And I don't bring the problems from the '90s into 2 thou'
There's no reason to have a friend or two now
Cause the kid's ready to tell you how he feel in a few vow's
Maybe, I'm speaking general now
But girl I'mma do whatever just to keep a grin on you now
Where I go, they wear bikini's in the winter too now
What you think about, tan lines on the skin of you now
Why wouldn't I wanna spend a few thou'
On 5th Ave. shopping spree's, and them dinners to Chow's
I ain't concerned what other men would do now
As long as when I slide up in you, you growl
And any dude with you, he better be a kin of you now
And I ain't jealous it's the principle now, I'm so into you
[Hook: Tamia]
I, really like
What you've, done to me
I can't really explain it
I'm, so into you
I, really like
What you've, done to me
I can't really explain it
I'm, so into you
[Verse 2: Fabolous]
Come on ma, it's more than a flashin'
I woulda traded it all, in orderly fashion
My villa in Florida we crashin'
Just off the shore, so you can hear when water be splashin'
The drop top three and a quarter we dashin'
The flawless diamonds, and the border we flashin'
The money, we oughta be stashin'
I make sure every quarter be cashed in, I can't really explain it
My friend be thinkin' I'm slippin', these girls be thinkin' I'm trippin'
What kinda weed he be smokin', what type of drinks he be sippin'
Sweet thing, just to think of you dippin'
Would have me with the blue's so hard, you would think I was crippin'
Now, you relaxin' in the Benz, credit cards with no limits
So you don't worry about maxin' when you spend
Ever since you've been askin' 'bout the friends
How'd you like it if, both our name's had Jackson on the ends, uh
[Hook: Tamia]
I, really like
What you've, done to me
I can't really explain it
I'm, so into you
I, really like
What you've, done to me
I can't really explain it
I'm, so into you
[Verse 3: Fabolous]
I don't wanna trip, but truth is
Girl the way you cook a steak, remind me of those strips in Ruth Chris
You love my smile, no matter how chipped my tooth is
With you, it ain't because my whips is roofless
Or sit on chrome dipped dub deuces
And you ain't flattered by Canary and VS dipped Jesuses
Other ballers look dumb when they press you, five and sixes
You don't let them kinda numbers impress you
Even though I was somewhat successful
Bein' a player was becoming too stressful
But every since, the superwoman has come to my rescue
My winter's been wonderful, my summer's been special
Let's fly to St. Bart, while the villa be painted
Just so we can get really acquainted
The love is real, there's no way it could feel like it's tainted
But I can't really explain it, uh, yeah
[Hook: Tamia]
I, really like
What you've, done to me
I can't really explain it
I'm, so into you
I, really like
What you've, done to me
I can't really explain it
I'm, so into you
[Outro: Tamia]
I, really like (Ooo-ooo-ooh)
What I feel, when I'm with you (With you)
You're a dream come true (You're, oh yeah, yeah)
Don't you ever leave my side (Ever leave my side, oh no)
Cause it feel so right (Oh baby, oh I)
[Hook: Tamia]
I, really like
What you've, done to me
I can't really explain it
I'm, so into you
I, really like
What you've, done to me
I can't really explain it
I'm, so into you

After growing up in this era the video vixens HIT EVEN HARDER NOW! Just natural beauty
Man this takes me back to a world that was happpy, chill and just full of love.
My wife found me, she would sing this song to me, life was really good, the world wasn't crazy and there was hope for a bright future...
Rest in peace babe, I promise I will visit and bring flowers really soon
Wow this is beautiful ❤❤❤
Beautiful post!
But... The world was crazy in 2003 though.... especially since 911 was fresh still in our minds. very crazy nothing has changed.
There are still women like that but unfortunately we aren’t finding men like that
So sorry for your loss 😢
I know it's legally over but I believe the Most High for you two
SCORPION that was heartfelt sorry that things didn't worked out for you
Reading this listening to the beat made me emotional thanks for sharing, keep your head up
You had to do what you had to. Don’t be too hard on yourself fam. Keep your head up. You’re a good man and father.
Just know we are all proud of you. Cheers.
You served your country, nothing to regret!

Such a shame I lived through this era and took it for granted.. I use to hear this tune playing in the summer back then on the radio and music channels.. and just passed it off as a regular tune.. Fast foward 20 years and was listening to Kisstory radio.. and this tune came on.. and I gotta say it nearly brought a tear to my eye as this tune brought back so many fond memories it was a time of happiness music was what you would call music.. comparing to how times have changed for rhe worse now.. very sad..
Damn fr?! Lol I was a big music video head! I stayed watching MTVjams. That shit was like a music portal, through time. Times were great.
Facts
Same! It was on 24/7 on mtv and on the radio...I knew the song simply from hearing it everywhere. Now i hear it and it takes me back like no other. I know every lyric somehow. Man...what a trip 🥺
Fabolous had a nice little run in the early 2000s

Btw this song was created in 2003
The original with Tamia by herself is from 1998.
Right its a remake/remix
@@melloyello435 i was 8 in 1998 and I thought the Fabolous one was the original. When I discovered Tamia's version I was like wow, this is way better. Fabo's is still good, but it's chicken to Tamia's steak.
Exactly what a beautiful voice she has
@@melloyello435 not only that but the instrumentation in the first few seconds alone is just beautiful.
Can a love song be better than this?, it's the yard stick, old is gold.
I think we all should just admit that the late 90's and early 2000's was our peak as a species.

Lol this was out when y’all were watching Disney lol
@@kevinhunt1202 Yeah, but I remember watching it on 106...It's where I remember seeing this video. I had just started the 6th grade. A lot of the preteens at the time that were into Hip-Hop R&B are very sentimental about this song. It reminds me of one of my first crushes.
The more we move forward, some very special things are fading. Very good music. It’s so sad. Nowadays we only artist and songs that say completely nothing
