This is the vid that got me into ASMR. I went from being someone with chronic insomnia to being excited for bed each night cause I can listen to different Maria vid for like 10 minutes 'til I pass out. I even bought this nail Polish. 2 bottles of it just in case cause damn them nails are fierce.

I used watch this video all the time back when I was in high-school. To this day my favorite sound is the tea box. In fact I'd only watch this video for the tea box 😂😂 the soft tapping on it and the tea packets make me so relaxed. I'm almost done with college now. Time seriously flies 😔

Do you also notice how the most relaxing sounds resemble natural sounds we usually hear when we (or our ancestors) were in a safe place?
For instance: ocean waves in the distance, when we were safe in a village/house
A cosy fireplace when we were home with our family safe from predators, protected...
We were at peace then. Maybe that is why the sounds give us peace as well.

This video is 6 years old. It was one of the first videos that got me into ASMR. I have ADHD and chronic anxiety and I started listening first just out of curiosity to see if I had an ASMR response (I do) but then realized that ASMR videos (or at least certain kinds of ASMR videos) really do relax me in a way that not much else does. When I feel stressed I put one on and it gives my mind something to focus on. I especially like the slow videos because it lets my brain slow down a little. A lot of people who make ASMR for ADHD videos do a lot of fast chaotic constantly changing triggers cuz that’s the stereotype but actually for me personally I love the slow and quiet triggers most. This video is sooooooo relaxing for me because there are so many slow movements and slow speech and nice quiet crinkly and tapping sounds 😌
This is exactly how I feel! I have ADHD too and the more slow/gentle ASMR videos help me so much :D

I love her attention to detail. Her graceful hands, her soothing voice, the way her nails are long enough to make lovely noises but not freakishly long, the way her nail polish color makes her nails blend in with her fingers. The tea bags, the orange purse. The pink comb. I love that her hands stroking the steel colored fabric do sound like ocean waves if you just relax into it. But the pink mask with beads...that is my favorite. That tingle inducing "puk puk puk" noise (and yes, I did just spend five minutes trying to decide what word best described that sound) is exquisite. I first discovered this video maybe five years ago and if I only have time to listen to one ASMR video, this is the one.
