Series 1-3 were amazing, the originals who we all knew and loved Series 4: still good it still had the good old time feeling the show had back them but no Geoff, no martin or Kate, no troy Series 5: quite shit, Joyce drains the life out the series plus many of the regulars and the series just feels shit. A few episodes are good like the stag and booze cruise, and Janey came back for a bit Series 6 : probably the last series that had the good old feeling that series 1 to 4 had, the garveys met their match, Micheal grows up, Martin comes back, no Gavin or troy or maltbys but the series was quite good in comparison to other later on series Series 7: the series went downhill after the garveys left, the maltbys weren't as good as the old days, us Donald wasn't included due to illness, but at least we had Janey back for a while Series 8 : the series picks up a bit with the dawsons, still sad thatost of the regulars have wentx the dawsons are OK with the only stand out character being Eddie, we see a regular come back (troy) but we say goodbye to Donald, joey was an idiot and the two would have been better if Micheal was there, which could have happened in the episode where madge comes back, as do all the maltbys which makes a few good pisshead Pauline story's Series 9: the series is decent with the dawsons being a bit funnier due to the war between Loretta and Eddie, its boring with Joyce going nowhere at the time, the series basically started relying on cheap jokes based on misunderstandings, tiger, joey and rob were a good trio and we got some good storyline Series 10: it was OK but no tiger, who became a regular over time, the public were wanting the garveys to return but that didn't happen, no regulars left except mateo, Jacqueline, Kenneth, Liam and les
It did go down when the garveys left, the new family weren't very funny at all, especially the grandparents. Sherry Hewison is a very talented comedian and she kept the humour going plus the actors who played kenneth and Liam.

Here a year later - I agree. Although they had both been in the business for several years before this, especially Eamon Holmes! It's mad looking back 10 years ago how much interviewing has changed. This one hasn't aged well.
Found these series on You Tube and ordered the entire box. British series are still the very best if you need and want to have fun and laugh.
