I feel you with the wind turbine situation, where I live here on the coast of Saaremaa, Estonia they plan also an enormous wind farm with turbines up to 300m (!). Untouched seashores at the moment and many migrating birds here, it's absolute insane if they would do this. Prayers and courage to you to stand strong :)

I noticed when my children were small that right after recovering from a stress (such as cutting teeth) they would make a jump so to speak in their abilities and maturity. If you suspect that fevers and illnesses are a detoxification process this seems to make sense. My dad was a dentist and he believed that the pediatricians were wrong to say that fevers have nothing to do with cutting teeth - that the physical stress to push teeth through the gums is huge. Parents of course have known this forever. Thank you for beautiful video. Love from Chicagoland.

    Dear Mathias and Tova
We really enjoyed this video ❤ We’re so sorry to hear that you had a hard time with the windturbine video. We think it was amazing, and were stunned by the amount of creativity you were able to put in in a time of such a threat. We answered the questionnaire immediately.
Julian helped stop windturbines coming up in our area 10 years ago, so he knows exactly how you feel.
Thank you for the update, and we wish you all the best, also with the forest. May you live happily surrounded by the peace and nature you came for 🌲🌲

Know that my heart goes out to the three of you, and of course Tova's family. It's must be so difficult to want to live the kind of life you do when you decide to choose peace and quiet and your simple life, then it is threatened. Do not fear being honest because lies and fabrications earn no respect, and we respect you all. Your humbleness and your ability to learn and teach yourself is what makes you who you are. I'm sorry that all this stress is impending on your ability to enjoy your days at the moment. I enjoy your videos and how you are changing the way people think about the environment and the earth around you by being a good example and steward . Sending positive thoughts your way.

We are all fighting a battle against an evil that wants to destroy our way of life and they’re using lies and destroying so much and so many. If you don’t just go along with the lies as though it’s truth then they threaten your livelihood. It’s so evil. We are truly in a spiritual battle. God bless your family. 🌷

Hello from Edinburgh Scotland again. Please do not be so hard on yourselves. I love to create various things. Sewing, painting, woodwork etc etc. As my great grandmother said when I was small over sixty years ago, " as people who like to create things, for some reason we are always our worst critics. We find small details to worry over, when no one else but us noticed them, Others say what a beautiful thing you have created. And we say but one small stitch is too small, or one thing is slightly too big. Who will notice but us. Accept the praise and revel in the fact that you created this with your own hands. It is a thing of wonder to be proud of". You are doing so well with your lives. Be as proud of yourselves as we are of you. You are an inspiration to all, and if we had more people like you both in this world, we wouldn't be in this situation. In Scotland and most of UK, there are hundreds of turbines atop of hills and mountains. They are a monstrosity on the landscape. When they shatter or wear down the pieces are left all over. These are picked up by wildlife and are destroying the habitat. The noise is very annoying. I have very sensitive hearing and it really grates on my nerves, preventing sleep and peace. Places that are national parks, and ancient woodlands are now wind farms. We also have thousands of these monsters in the oceans. I believe the vibrations affect the wildlife and we get more strandings of whales every year. Keep up with your way and be proud. It is easy to go along and have the easy life. Many people these days say " if it doesn't affect me I don't want to know" little realising that it affects us all in the long run. We are very proud of you and you inspire even old grannies like myself to do better and be a better person. Much love to all three of you. Yvar will be very proud as he gets older and watches your videos. Xxx

You have a good sense of humor, Mathias. (-> the ‘black chicken moment‘) Tova too. And Ivar most probably too. One gets a back ache by merely watching you handle the rocks, the wheelbarrow and the earth… Concerning energy generation: the human mind is capable of finding the most marvellous solutions and adapting one's behaviour to new situations (e.g. using less energy and resources oneself which multiplies when many individuals do that), but unfortunately also of taking the easy road (finding out too late that it was actually not easy at all but created more severe problems). Thanks for showing us what a wind turbine really is. Looking forward to the video about windfarms. I hope there is a way of saving the trees around Tova's parents' fäbod.

I should have watched the whole video before commenting. I didn't hear about the threats you faced and I am sorry you had to deal with them. It's so hard; when you put your life out there for the public to see there is always going to be some idiot who thinks you need to conform to his (or her) way of thinking. I don't get that. I am supportive of renewable energy, but to say there is no problem with windmills is ignorant. There are ways to make them that reduces their impact on wildlife and there are ways to distribute them (like a small one on the house) that also makes more sense, but that isn't going to make money for any large corporations, is it? After doing the research, I decided on solar panels on my home, net metered to the local grid as the best way for me to have renewable energy, but even that is not going to get me off corporate power (80% off though!). When you live in a northern climate, we just don't get enough sun. It is a puzzle that needs thought and research to solve, but you are right, destroying the environment to save it doesn't make any sense. There are just some natural structures (and species!) you can't recreate after you have lost them. That's a very wise sentiment. I wish more people understood it. (Been a patreon subscriber since around episode 34 - you guys are one of only three channels I give money to - and you are certainly the one I would be least likely to drop.)

The cellar and woodshed look fantastic! The rock work in front is beautiful, creative. In our world there are so many creative options and people with brilliant ideas. Unfortunately, at this point there are a few who control the flow of advancement due to profitability. However, this cannot last much longer, we as a civilization must move in different directions. There are other solutions to energy use and they are free, thus the "snag". Mr. Nikola Tesla proved this by developing technology in 1895. And we are at the point where it must be reintroduced. Thanks so much for sharing your life with us. Sending love and support.

Threats!? That is so horrific and wrong. Praying for your family and your safety. One of the reasons I appreciate being able to watch your videos and have a glimpse into your lives is learning from a different perspective. Thank you for providing the opportunity. My daughter always got fevers along with teething.

My favorite videos. The first thing I do when I see a new video is check the time, and the longer the better. However, I am thrilled with and appreciate whatever length of time you are able to give. I think the answer to most, if not all, environmental question or issues like this, is less consumption. I imagine it is heartbreaking when you think you have found your solution (homestead rural property and live with less consumption), and the machine still finds a way to encroach on your life and your dream. I hope this works out in your favor, but unfortunately, the problem will just be out of sight, not gone altogether. Thank you for sharing your hearts and lives with us. Wishing you all the best.

Hi there I can understand your frustration and worries. Because for those people it's all about money. And they forget about nature. But it's nice to see that things happening now on your farm. And thanks for the video. Always enjoy you're way of living life. You're done a big job.BUT hope after this winter the new house will be finished 🙄🙂🙃. Can I just say that you guys are leading by example to show how a "solution" could look like when it comes to the worlds need for energy! If more people had the willpower to live a lifestyle like you do, there would be no need for wind parks anywhere. It breaks my heart to hear about what's happening around you and I send you lots of positive energy and hugs!

Well done! And I appreciated your comments about criticism of the wind turbines and the reaction you received. I think one of the big problems today is the lack of comfort with the space between identifying problems and their solutions. The rush to agree on one path or another takes away from that space where creativity happens. I don't know what the solution is either to energy generation on a large scale, but that doesn't mean I can't or shouldn't have opinions.
Personally, I live on a sailboat and we love our small wind generators. But these devices don't compare with the huge wind turbines you are talking about. I have no experience with those.
All the best to your family!

Tova & Mathias you are so right in what you say, here in the Uk we have these wind turbines most of the time they are turned off, they are unsightly, kill lots of birds and end up thrown on the scrap heap and left to rot .xxx

I love that cellar. Looking good!
We too live in a beautiful natural area in Minnesota, USA, where the topic of " destroy the environment to save the environment" is highly argued over. We live in the largest watershed to the largest fresh water lake in the world. Copper mining for electronics and electric vehicles batteries, would threaten to poison this great natural resource. It is sad, and frustrating. But living here, we do what we can, make our voices heard, and collaborate with others who feel the same as we do. Your channel not only entertains us, but inspires us to see ways that we can live together with the earth and protect it. Your family is adorable...and we love the work you do!

I 100% understand your point of view, these days we can't have an opinion or say things if we don't have the solution as you said. Our government asks us to reduce our electricity consumption, such as putting the heating at 19 celcius in winter instead of 20-21 celcius, because we don't have enough electricity for everyone. But they decide to sell our electricity to the United States and they don't want gasoline cars anymore, just electric cars by 2035...we just don't understand how to do that, and here we can't build wood-burning fireplaces in new constructions in some cities. .Fortunately we have an acquired right at home, and we heat with it.

Such back breaking work but wonderfully done. You've both come along way and the cellar looks fantastic. Was good to see Malva running around and checking out your handy work Mathias. I hope you can find some peace and don't stress over the issues facing you and the forests around you. Unfortunately we live in a world where the rich corporations get away with far too much. Until the next time keep warm and safe 💚💚
