It could have been that Sri Purandhara Dhaasararu was sitting in the stone mantapam on the banks of the Thungabhadhra, thinking of his beloved Raama and singing this song, at the exact time that Sri Raama’s mandhir in Ayodhyapuri was being demolished by barabaric hordes.
I wish that everyone, for whom bhakthi towards Sri Raama courses as song, will make a trip to this mantapam, which still sits there quietly, and listen to the Nadhi dance to her own Svaraavalis, and do our pranaams to Dhaasaru by obeying his command, “Raama Naama Japiso”!

This is beautiful akkas. Today is such a special day for all of us. This reminded me of the day the ram mandir verdict came out. The very same day there was a concert in Bangalore. What a beautiful way to celebrate such a great day. I still can't forget the beautiful varamu raga with the beautiful pallavi 'varamulasagi brovavaiyya saketha puravasa rama' , after which it started raining so heavily. That was a remarkable day and listening to your concert was such a great way to celebrate it and today is a remarkable day too and listening to rama mantrava japiso made it really special for us
