Thanksgiving Turkey Stomach Burst : BFX : Build

- What's the best part of Thanksgiving? Aside from Santa at the end of the Parade and the Lions rocking the gridiron, it's easily eating until you think you're going to burst. And with this episode, something can actually burst out of your chest and freak out the family!* Erik shows you how to do the chest burst effect that was made famous in the Alien movies!

*You won't really burst.
Peeling flech is actually simpler than it sounds.
1.)Find yourself some liquid latex.
2.)Apply make up to your arm, leg, ect to look like raw flesh.
3.) After the make up has set, paint on several layers of the latex, letting each layer dry before putting on the next.
4.) Make up the dried latex coat to match your skin tone, and...
5.) Peel it off!
Worked for me, plus it looked pretty good on camera with a little blood added to it when peeling.
Alien is one of my all time fave movies (esp. THAT scene) so I will definately be trying this one out. Thanks!!

HR Geiger’s original design for the chestburster looked like a monstrous plucked turkey. To his dismay the crew laughed at it.
I actually used that exact scene in my last Halloween vid :)
That, and the scene where Harry Dean stanton is standing there and the full grown alien drops down behind him and opens both sets of teeth, are my favorites.

can you make a bfx for model grenade not like a real 1 where it blows up but a model where you can take the pin out and the handle but its like a dud so it dose not go off and you can put the pin back so it looks like new (re usable?) and very nice work with bfx :D

could you make a bfx of the alien tounge through the head effect for cheap i have a basic idea with a styraphone hed blood but i need help on the tounge/projectile ect.

Yeah, but tofu is made out of soybeans so its kinda the same. Most of the time I eat texturated(?) soyproteine, which is some sort of mass created from soybeans. Tastes kinda like meat, tastes really good. Its really just experiments when cooking vegan food, cooking meat is so much easier and most of the time the time put into making vegan food makes it taste a whole lot better. Kinda hard to explain in a youtube comment, but contact me if you´d like more info;P

It's probably not that hard to make some of that yourself, even without instruction. Weapons would probably be easier then costumes, especially with Kingdom Hearts...

I need help building reallly really large props such as jetskis, small escape pods and such for really cheap so if anyone has any tips.....
i think that'd be really easy and wouldn't take a show. they'd have to maybe do like the mask too or something.
