If he wasn't completely stable to begin with, he might have had ambitions to wipe out people he deemed lesser since a young age when the more ignorant minded judged people on surface level traits.
Taron Egerton gave an Oscar worthy performance as Elton John in Rocketman. It's a musical based on Elton John's life and he sings all the songs himself. It's incredible
he actually got the part because Elton John had such a love for him and they became close friends on the set of Kingsman 2, and Elton helped him secure the role in Rocketman
I love how Arthur drops into a Cockney accent right before he dies. The whole movie he's been a snob about Eggsy, but it turns out that he started out the same way.
The church scene wasn't a one-shot take. They basically had for example 10 scenes with each one starting and ending with a close up shot so they can have a hidden cut. So watch it again and every time the camera zooms in Harry's suit or anything there's a hidden cut, where they end the scene and start a new one. It's super sick to watch it knowing that trick.
@@debbiethompson3460 Well, I can ask you for a thing then. You watched this scene a lot right? Does at any point people are fighting air or waiting to fight someone like any kids kung fu movie? That church scene was insanely awesome. When I was in film school, we had to each do a senior project that we would write, film, act in, and edit. We also would help each other with their films. One of my classmates wanted to do an action short all in one shot. So, we made a five and a half minute movie where it was just the actors and the cameraman. We choreographed, blocked out, rehearsed, and filmed it. It took five takes, but we finally got every element perfect. There were only two moments where you can accidentally see the cameraman's shadow, but it was otherwise flawless.

I call this film "a lesson in the ultra-violent". I love the look, Alex. Corridor Crew interviewed the lead visual effects artist for The Kingsmen - The church scene is not all one take but it is edited so perfectly that you think it is. Once you know where the transitions are, you can't un-see them. They also changed the frame rate to an uneven number so you get that hyper movement feeling. Also, pugs are one of the few breeds of dogs who can grasp and pull on things with their paws. Their biggest downside is that due to inbreeding (the breed itself is literally inbred to produce a smaller cuter face) they are prone to respiratory problems (a collapsed trachea being the most common) and in old age will most likely die because they failed to breathe. The problem is the air does not warm up fast enough when they inhale so it does not enter their lungs properly. We had one named Otis and he passed out twice in his old age the 2nd time it happened his brain was deprived of oxygen for too long and he incurred brain damage. We had to put him down after that.
The Martini joke is a jab at James Bond. A Martini is vermouth (often Italian, Martini being an Italian brand of vermouth) and gin. Bond replaces the gin with vodka, a popular variant but not very English. He wants it shaken because traditionally it's stirred. So Eggsy of course wants no vodka and is very specific about the stirring. Someone prefers dry martinis, with half the amount of vermouth, or extra dry, with even less Martini. I guess less Italian more English. Sometimes it's prepared by pouring Martini first in the glass, stirring it a bit, throwing it away, and then mixing in the rest (that would make it extra-extra dry almost pure gin). Eggsy makes it clear the only involvment of the Martini in the preparation of his drink is "glancing at an unopened bottle" of it. He's ordering basicly straight gin, probably w/o garnish.

My father tells of seeing a guy in flight school whose Shute didn’t work. He hit the ground, stood up, said “I’m alive!” and then died. Many bones are built to withstand that direction of impact. Your internal organs are not. But it takes a few seconds for that to kill you.
31:35 every time someone's body passes and blocks the entire frame, or the screen goes blank for a single frame for any reason (like muzzle flash), those are indicators of a cut to a different take. there are also parts where the movements are blurred in an unnatural way, it's where CGI steps in to enhance frames that don't flow naturally with the previous or next cut.

Toilets and all other plumbing fixtures are connected to vent pipes, which extend to the roof of any structure, allowing air from outside in and the smooth flow of waste. This allows you to breathe indefinitely, so long as the vent pipe isn’t plugged. Of vent pipes weren’t there, you’d get glugging, much like a gas can without a vent hole.
Hey Alex! A great movie. I learned about it by a total coincidence from some random top 10 killing spree scenes video. :D And a fun fact - the code to the cell, which was 2625, stands for ANAL on an old phone keyboard. :)
For me, this, its sequel and Mad Max Fury Road are the pinnacle of modern action. The way the action in this is shot is just so damn stylish and dynamic.
IRONY ALERT The actor who plays Arthur (Micheal Caine) had his first major role playing Alfie in What's It All About Alfie. Oh and the song by the same name was the theme song for the Movie. So good work calling him Alfred.
So, a fun little career arc for Taron. One of the movies he was in was Sing, which was an animated jukebox musical (which is way better than just that description sounds... it should really go on your list of movies to watch), and his character's song in the finale is Elton John's I'm Still Standing, which he absolutely killed it on. Elton John was then in the second Kingsman movie (which I really didn't enjoy as much as this one), but then Taron went on to play Elton John in the movie Rocketman. So, it is just... kind of amazing to see Taron and Elton connect like that over their movies. But, enough about that, now back to Kingsman. I am _so_ happy that I got to see this movie in theaters back when it came out. It was AMAZING. I love how much it subverts everything, even down to the fact that they gave us one of the most amazingly choreographed, filmed, edited, and had just... amazing music... and _yet_... when you take a step back, you feel kind of dirty for enjoying it as much as you do, because no one in that fight is acting with anything resembling free will. On top of that, there was a trained and experienced killing machine right there in the room with them, with ways of killing people that were unrivaled by anything else that was being used. Yes, Harry did a fantastic job of slaughtering through them all, but... there's no glory in it. It isn't a victory against enemies. It was innocent (albeit very assholish) people, who had no choice about being violent. Yes, on a micro level, their moment-to-moment actions were their choices to make, but the choice of whether or not to try to kill everyone else in the room was taken away from them. Honestly, as strongly as I may dislike some groups, particularly ones along those lines, I don't think there's a single person or group in the world that I would wish this kind of death on. It is... sick and twisted.
Gotta admit, I loved both the movie and your reaction to it. I never seen Kingsman Secret Service when it came out, but seeing it the first time, I had an absolute blast. As well as with the second one. I hope that Part 3 "Blue Blood" comes out real soon.
If you're still wondering how they did that one take in the church, every time you see a person or object going from one side of the camera to the other and blocking the shot for a second that's called a wipe. Those are the points where they're stitching together two different takes to make it look like one seamless take. The work done to do that so it's not noticeable when you're caught up in the action was great, because sometimes a wipe like that is hit or miss and it can break the immersion.
6:30 I can understand that. But consider that the majority of them don’t have access to guns and HAVE to solve most problems with their hands. Then watch Green Street Hooligans. Haha
1. There is no way in hell that this video is monetized. 2. I forgot that this was one of my favorite movies. I haven't watched it in a couple years. It is right next to Scott Pilgrim.
4:47 Because every James Bond villain had some sort of a physical disability or scar. And this movie is a borderline parody of the old James Bond movies
This is one of my favorites. I think the second one is slightly less impressive, but still very good and worth watching. Love them both. The new prequel one is really solid too. Matthew Vaughn did all three Kingsman movies, but he also made Kick-Ass and X-Men First Class. He makes really solid movies in general. Tons of great ones in his past. also that church scene legit blew my mind when I first saw it. It's just so insane and so well-filmed/edited. as violent as the movie was up to that point, I still wasn't expecting it. and then when he shoots Harry, that blew my mind just as much. I never once considered that Harry could die until it happened. That whole section of the movie is just absolutely nuts in the best way. the second one is a little bit less good, I think mainly because it doesn't have a match for that whole church sequence. but it's still really good. Unrelated, but before you get rid of the mustache, make sure you watch Super Troopers if you haven't seen it yet.
This movie and the first Guardians of the Galaxy came out the same year. Their most unhinged scenes and the tone were so eerily similar, but I'm grateful to both, they're between my favorite movies 💞

26:40 Yep, there are definitely handguns that also fire shotgun shells. Most are revolvers, but you can get a shot version even of a little .22lr cartridge that is filled eith tiny BBs.
If you loved Tarons acting in this movie, you HAVE to check out Black bird, such a good series!!
My father tells of seeing a guy in flight school whose Shute didn’t work. He hit the ground, stood up, said “I’m alive!” and then died. Many bones are built to withstand that direction of impact. Your internal organs are not. But it takes a few seconds for that to kill you.
Every good actor worth their salt can't wait to play a Bad Guy!
As I scotch guy, if someone handed me a 62 Delmore, I'd smack my own gooch as I took it back. What...
Ohhh damnit. That little jingle @41:16 broke my soul
Dragged everyone i could to see this in theaters when it came out. Absolutely loved it, Golden Circle the sequel has some issues IMO but still pretty fun.
Yes, Golden Circle has some issues, but... COUNTRY ROADS, TAKE ME HOME ♥
Yeah, it's not perfect by any means, but it's still hilarious and has some truly great moments to it.
I CAN NOT believe you actually showed the princess'es ass at the end LMFAO. No WONDER this video got age restricted!
Mustache Alex looks like he's gonna deliver a pizza to the wrong address.😂
I suspect that wrong address will be pumping out that funky bass-line "brown chicken brown cow".
😂😂😂
3:19 For your question regarding the '62 Dalmore Whisky being a statement, Yes it is. Apparently it goes for around $250k upon looking up the most expensive whiskies in the world
this is such an amazing movie. Thoroughly enjoyed the reaction!
41:56 [Picture if you will, Alex has his window open and the neighbor is walking the dog and happens to look in the window and see's Alex, while having no idea of the context... 🤣]
I love this movie. So fun too watch and it has so many great actors.
My personal favourite being Taron Egerton, he is in some other really good stuff. I'd especially recommend Rocketman and Eddie the eagle to watch for everyone interested in his work.
18:50 Perfect example of the saying: "If something is free, then YOU're the product."
12:41 Alex - "Damn that was fast as hell"
Kingsman - "Shit we're late"
Alex - *laughs like a rich guy*
I discovered this movie when I was about 9 years old and I bought the blu ray, took it home, watched it, and absolutely loved it. This is one of the best action films I’ve ever seen
One of my all time favourites. So happy you're doing it. Pretty sure this is also one of my favourite reactions of yours. Coming in blind was just perfect. Left me blindsided too, enjoyed it waaay too much.
It would be fun to see you watch Rocketman, another Taron movie, Elton John biography.
Sam Jackson grew up with a lisp, pretty sure he was the one who suggested it for the movie lol
I'm so happy your patrons chose this for you! When the title of this reaction came up, I KNEW it was going to be a blast. The sequel isn't *quite* as good because let's face it, the fresh takes in this film are what sets it apart. But The Golden Circle is still worth a look (I think).
“The ending of this movie is the background on my phone” How have you never seen this Alex?!
Glad you are reacting to this Alex! Its such a good movie, sure that u love it.
The ending scene has an extended cut where you see what he sees.
I haven't seen any of these movies in this franchise but I'll watch ya reaction cause I like your humour & commentary
Seeing your reaction makes me love the films I've seen even more! So many scenes and awesome moments I forgot about. The choreography in this film is top notch!
Love your reaction. I too was caught out by how good the movie is. I wish I had seen it at the cinema. The 2nd One is also defineatly a watch.
FINALLY!! Waited for this reaction for ages!
I cant even tell how much I am waiting for the second Kingsman movie reaction from you! That is EVEN BETTER mate!!
Ok I was gonna be upset that it wasn’t the next Harry Potter but I’m very glad you picked this movie in this spot. A great franchise
A collared shirt underneath a sweater doesn't make you 'trustworthy', it makes you spoiled. And spoiled more times out of ten are nasty.
The sequel is just as good, and even crazier with the action scenes. I'm sure you'll love it.
As many times as I have seen the movie and people's reaction to it, it never gets old
For me, this, its sequel and Mad Max Fury Road are the pinnacle of modern action. The way the action in this is shot is just so damn stylish and dynamic.
Sequel has too many issues for me, but Fury Road for show and I'd put top gun maverick in the sequels place
So glad you checked this movie out! Love it!
IRONY ALERT The actor who plays Arthur (Micheal Caine) had his first major role playing Alfie in What's It All About Alfie. Oh and the song by the same name was the theme song for the Movie. So good work calling him Alfred.
"Littlbitamurderlittlbitaanal" is a jam
Hooray for uncensored version
everyone talks about the church scene but honestly the skydiving one had me way more emotional about it, so fucking intense its unbelievable
"you look like you didnt get the part for ham in the sandlot" got me rolling 💀
Remember when I first saw this in the cinema.
Such a good experience.
There is a doctor on TH-cam who describes what injuries in this scene would be. His reactions are hilarious at times.
I really enjoyed watching this again with you Thanks so much you did a great job editing and it was a very enjoyable time again can't say enough
That church scene alone was worth winning something
Great reaction. You made it a blast to watch. Keep it up!
6:30 I can understand that. But consider that the majority of them don’t have access to guns and HAVE to solve most problems with their hands. Then watch Green Street Hooligans. Haha
I remember watching the church scene when this first came out in theaters, and ive had a new appreciation for the song Freebird ever since.
4:53 I think it's a reference to the fact that many Bond villains have some kind of disability/physical defect.
ANOTHER ALEX HEFNER VIDEO LETS GOOOOO (you’re my favorite reaction youtuber)
This movie and the first Guardians of the Galaxy came out the same year. Their most unhinged scenes and the tone were so eerily similar, but I'm grateful to both, they're between my favorite movies 💞
“THE ENDING OF THIS MOVIE IS THE BACKGROUND ON MY PHONE”
There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man. True nobility is in being superior to your former self- Hemingway. That's such a clutch quote from this movie
45:03 Taron Egerton is a great actor.
I've seen him fancast as Wolverine for the MCU a lot - I think he'd be a great choice tbh.
