Quite similar to how my father made frikadeller, but he chopped the onions and didn't use garlic, but I think these will taste very good and danish. I like to add garlic myself.
You should mix the salt in the meat before you add anything else in order to get the right texture. Another trick is to use 2 parts lard and one part real unsalted butter to get a good crisp, browned surface. That's how it was done back in the day, and the way butchers still make danish meatballs in Denmark. One egg is enough, but a matter of taste i guess. Never heard of garlic in danish meatballs.
Garlic in frikadeller? They look good and probably taste good, but if it's gonna be authentic danish meatballs, garlic isn't normally used in frikadeller.
@@jackmeeellleee4896 Sorry, but that is a newer recipe than the traditional one, here is the traditional: www.dk-kogebogen.dk/opskrifter/33005/danske-frikadeller Any additions to the recipe and you stray from the traditional, but people are adding and experimenting which is good :)
Family brought the recipe to the USA from Denmark in 1872. We still hand it down.
I will definitely learn how to prepare this wonderful recipe.Thank you for sharing it with us...love

Yes, me too. I've never heard of it (I have a Danish step-mother). It may be a good addition (for some people), but it sure isn't authentic.
@Mille and @Horse Nuts - I agree 100% !! 👍👍

I'm from the United States, I didn't even know there was such thing as gravy coloring.
iCauseStress HD You can use soy sauce.
It’s called Gravy Master in the US- it comes in a small dark brown glass bottle w/an orange label. Most supermarkets carry it.
Looks amazing yummy, nice sharing 😊👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Absolutely delicious danish meatballs..👍..Stay in touch
That’s a lot of salt in the meat mixture. Also a lot of butter to fry them!
Add all spice
very delicious to have this. Thanks for upload. stay in touch.
thank you so much!
I'd eat that. God I love thai people! Come to Denmark all of you beautiful people!
Yum
Never garlic in danish frikadeller😛 but ad muskat and sparkling water
If the Brown Sauce requires artificial brown coloring, why not just change the name?
I’m In Meatball Heaven!!!
You don't serve frikadeller with rice or pasta. Potato always.
Sadly the brown sauce I made ended up so sweet it was like pouring syrup on the meatballs.
You sound like The Naked Truth
ripoff from swedish meatballs and brown sauce
Just much better 🙂
