    To be honest,
    For many generations to come,
We can never see someone like SIKIRU AYINDE BARRISTER in Fuji industry anymore, except REPLICA.

And let us even be sincere, itan baba olode is a yoruba folklore that had been before Abeokuta, ayinla's hometown and Ibadan, barrister's hometown were both founded.
None of the two composed it. The question here was only about who sang it in stage or album first.
The stories and others, including that of monkey trying to become human are all in D.O Fagunwa and Onibonoje's Yoruba books
    That is the btruth

Barrister achieved more in life than Ayinla. But Ayinla is more genius than Barrister. Where is the record where barrister sang it then. When Ayinla was alive he dominated all other musicians include barrister. Barrister himself used to be an ardent fan of Omowura and he respected his musical prowess.

If you can not produce the record or live play of barrister song itan baba olode before ayinla omomwura song it, then, I can't believe this without proof, maybe because you are a barrister fan, that's why you don't bother to verify.

Where is your proof that Barrister sang "Itan Baba Olode" before Ayinla Omowura (AO)? The fact is that AO sang it in a live play and Barrister in a waxed record after AO's live play.
Listen, Barrister was a remarkable musician. However, Ayinla Omowura has more depth and he's at least, 2 levels above Barrister. Another fact to consider as well, Barrister was a fan of AO. He was the captain of AO's fans club!

Ayinla was born in 1933 while barrister in 1948. Ayinla was 45 plus when their so-called fight started while barrister was going to 30. So, how do you want to compare the composition of both then? Then ayinla had far too much experience

  • @yormeey
    @yormeey ปีที่แล้ว +2

What proof do you have that Barrister sang "Itan Baba Olode" before Ayinla Omowura ( AO)?
You can't tell us Barrister said it, then we should buy into that? I don't think it's logical to use SAB's words to drive home your point and expect that to be taken as fact!
Okay let's assume SAB sang "Itan Baba Olode" accordingly to SAB in 1964. How do we kmow AO didn't sing it first in 1960 as well? This is also a possibility , isn't it? Where could Ayinla have heard it from? A song that we had no record of until it was sang by AO?
Look what we have as fact as we speak is that AO sang it first before SAB!
Ayinla was a very proud guy, I genuinely do not see him uplifting anyone's song. In fact, AO was far ahead of his time, he was one of the first few, if not actually the first musician in Nigeria who properly recognise his composers in his albums!

Mr Oludasile, your argument is baseless in sense that, during thar time who is older between Ayinla Omowura and Ayinde Barrister, Ayinla have started music b4 Barrister. Ayinla might have sing the song in life play while Barrister Sing the song in record waxed. Mr Oludasile, you can't know iya Osho better than Osho. Kolington and Barrister started Fuji at the same time. And also They knew each other when we talk about fuji music. You that came just now cant judge this argument.

Fashola olayinka ... Didn't you listen to the voice of Barry in this interview ? 1964 , Ayinla was still a chorus singer behind a musician at Abeokuta, before Baba Ajewole went & forcefully brought him out of the group to his own ..
Kollington released his first record in 1975, while Barry released his own in 1966, d same time (day) with KSA.....
Barry did his first house warming in 1974....
Ayinla was still a tenant by then....
