I was recently on this ship with several family members. It was our first time sailing on MSC and with 18 cruises under my belt, I was pleasantly surprised. However, the main issue/problem with MSC, especially this ship out of Orlando, is the embark process. MSC seems to ALWAYS have excuses on the delays or waiting periods to get on the ship. This has been going on for months. It took us almost 3 hours to get on the ship even though we showed up 30 minutes prior to our "scheduled" boarding time. We were tired and hungry by the time we got on the ship and when we did, the restaurants were not serving food and the buffet was pretty sparse with not a very large selection of food. Makes you think that MSC purposely slows down the initial boarding process to save money on food. Regardless, this is really the only complaint we had. The rest of the cruise was great. Staff was fantastic, service was always with a smile. Food I would rate 8 out of 10. Disembark a lot smoother and quicker than embark but you will notice if you get up super early on disembark day and go to the buffet, again very sparse with limited selections which kinds of lends credence to they do this slow embark, quick disembark to save on food costs. I would sail on MSC again, just wish they would FINALLY solve their boarding problems. No one wants to wait hours and hours to board their cruise, especially on these shorter cruises.
I agree 100%. I think that the buffet on this ship is it's biggest negative. I would avoid it at all costs and go to the MDR for breakfast and lunch. The pizza was supposed to be good but I found it cold, soggy and most of it just undercooked dough. Selection was limited and it just repeated the same food on both sides of the buffet many times. The check-in process was the slowest of any of the cruises we have taken since the restart and Port Canaveral was not impressive in my opinion. The signage as your drive in was pretty good though. I love the entertainment onboard - it blew me away. I also loved the dining room and specialty dining. I was very pleasantly surprised as well. Thanks for your comment, and also thanks for watching!
@Emily Gandarilla The luggage drop off area is a bit tight and security moves average speed. The actual check-in area was packed and moved slowly. It probably took me about 45 minutes. MSC just doesn't seem to have the embarkation process figured out. Pack your patience.
I really do hope that they get this worked out. Most of the other lines have it down pretty well. Just pack a bit of patience and you'll have a good experience.
We sailed Meraviglia inaugural restart after Covid and it was horrible. They completely redeemed themselves with this one. This promo goes through March 31st.
The internet was decent. I just had the basic which was fine for email & social media. You can’t really stream but it not intended to. I never use my phone while on a cruise. I don’t pay for international service & just keep it on airplane mode. Wifi is available on the island
@@seemoreseascruises3791 I am not really intending to stream but I wanted to get the browse and stream package since I will have to do a few work calls while on the ship without video. Have you tried calling with Whatsapp?
@@asmrwaterskin2478 I have not tried Whatsapp but we did test the ATT Wifi calling that we had turned on and it did not work. If you upgrade to the stream package you "should" be in good shape.
I am pretty sure that you can in the larger machines like I showed in the video. I am not exactly sure how you reconcile your account at the end of your cruise. Most cruise lines are cashless so I would ask the guest relations desk. You can also use a debit card in place of a credit card. I think that they will initially confirm $250 on the card but not use it of course.
You can add cash to your account. Just go to guest services. If you do not use it all, they will give you the balance back on the morning of departure.
I agree. I found the entertainment good but it’s definitely not a party atmosphere. The island is pretty boring. I found the buffet food so so as well.

I am keep reading the same story on embarkation. Do they have any option to take an upgrade for faster embarkation?
@@asmrwaterskin2478 I heard if you book an Aurea Suite or Yacht Club cabin, you have a separate (exclusive) boarding area

@Emily Gandarilla it was a long line, but once in the building it went very quickly. Loved the cruise, lovely crew, room was fabulous!
Thanks for this information. I am doing this same solo on the Meraviglia at the end of next month.
Have a great cruise! Blue lagoon in Nassau would be my suggestion for an excursion there. The downtown is not very nice. Thanks for watching!
Very detailed!
Thank you for sharing!!!!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks so much for watching! I have a full walkthrough of Ocean Cay Marine Reserve coming soon!
MSC Meraviglia is still having trouble at embarkation, and I they get it right by May when I sail with them.

Have you tried the internet? How was the speed ? How about mobile phone service on private island?
