I did my multi out in Rockford in 1982! I flew from North Las Vegas airport to Sedona for a hamburger in a turbo Seneca II. That was in 2004, last time i flew multi-engine. I put 425 hrs in a 1981 Pipe Aerostar 602P during my career in corporate aviation from 1981 to 1985. That started in an 1981 A36 bonanza (892 hrs) then on to the Aerostart - talk about a performer, I really miss flying that.
    Find some batteries!

Hi Ern! If you recall, a couple of videos ago I commented that I am close to doing my private stage 1 stagecheck. I passed it! My first solo is In a couple of days. I’m one step closer to living my dream, Southwest Airlines pilot. Thanks for the inspiration.

All that talk about food had me hanging out for some food B-roll 😁. Great to introduce Luke, he's doing some great editing. Can't wait to fly an SR22 one day. I'm upgrading from an RPL to CPL right now. Apparently an SR22 is a little heavy for me to fly according to RPL rules here in AU.

Hey Erg, love your channel. I'm not a pilot but my family used to go to the Upland airport in Upland CA. I think it was called Crazy Mike's, or something like that. We really enjoyed the breakfast there. Something else I thought was cool was they had a working enclosed phone booth outside of the restaurant . Haven't been their for a few years but I think it was popular for fly-ins so I hope its still there. Anyway thanks for the awesome channel and have a great day.

Hey Ern! It was great to meet you and Sam at Migration. Great you guys came.
I love the idea of doing a little series on great food stops! I don't have anything in the AZ area to suggest, apart from Sedona. I heard good things about that Mexican place at Winslow, and I had hoped to maybe stop there on the way back from Scottsdale, but the weather situation nixed that plan. Will have to fly over again sometime. I definitely second the Big Bear recommendation though.
I see that you guys have the same trouble as everybody else with the Cirrus lap belts getting pulled way up by the shoulder harnesses. I wish they'd add a fifth strap, or maybe switch to a 3-point style like Diamond uses in the DA-62.

I enjoyed your short flight nice flight to Sedona. I like the mentioning of Payson (PJB PAN) airport Crosswind restaurant. Their breakfast & pies are great. I live in Payson I am a former pilot lost it due to health. I watch your videos as First Officer for SWA, enjoy. When in SoCal in your Cirrus N51FM go to Flo’s restaurant & if time walk over to Planes of Fame WWll flying museum.

Big Erin…….great video I think you’re too humble you are ex military and have more flight hours than most and you say that you grease the landings by accident no sir that is a skill you worked your butt off to get! I fly almost exclusively on SW and I feel very comfortable in back knowing that guys like you who are ex military are up there flying me to my destination. I’m heading to Pensacola tomorrow from KMCI and am really looking forward to this 6 days on the beaches in Orange Beach, AL sugar like sand! Next week I’m off to Boston, the week after to Baltimore, the week after that to Cleveland and all of those flights are Business Select so I will make Companion Status for my 10th year in a row! Kinda taking it to the wire this year most non pandemic years I would make companion in June once as early as May but due to the Pandemic this year it will take to the end of October to reach it! Thanks again for the great content and fly safe sir!

Monterey in NorCal. Del Monte Aviation offers free parking and no ramp fee for a cirrus, and we have excellent food options either at the airport or within a 15 minute Uber ride. The fuel price is also very competitive for the area

Man, for those of us with Celiac, listening to all this chatter about great places to eat can be depressing...since, in my travel experience, a LOT of places here in the US are either A) unaware regarding Celiac or B) are aware yet lazy regarding offering alternatives. Argh.

Great instructional techniques. Interesting re first time with the side stick. Only side stick I ever flew was A320/A321, I remember first full flight it was very intuitive although it did seem that something was missing (yoke) I also used to find when training pilots in it and swapping left to,right it made no difference…..I just reached for the seat controls wrong side all the time. Keep up the cool videos!
