I went to the same middle school as Bela. We never really hung out together though we had some of the same classes. This kindhearted guy was the only student in that entire huge school who came and asked me if I was alright after one of the times I was bullied. After all these years, I still feel so grateful for that. I celebrate your musicianship & talent. I hope all is well with you and your loved ones. Thank you, Bela.

I gotta say... I've watched / listened to this TH-cam vid maybe 150 times. (the music... probably 1000 times since I have the double album). These musicians are the best of the best of the best on the planet (possibly the entire galaxy) today. But geeeeee whiz... Abigail did do an unbelievable job of capturing not only the individual musicians, but also the collaboration, emotions, solos and even the nature outside of the car port. The panning and focusing on each solo was prescient. Thanks Abigail Washburn! And BTW, you are an exceedingly gifted banjoist yourself.
I normally don't order physical CD's (I usually only buy downloads). But I just pre-ordered the physical CD on Amazon and I did not even look at the track list. I just listened to this vid for 60 seconds, saw all your smiling faces and had to buy the album. Every one of you are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE musicians. All together ON ONE ALBULM! It's HISTORIC. Thanks for putting this together!

I’ve gotten to hear this lineup live in Cincinnati a few months back, and now them plus another 8 from the album at the Ryman on Saturday night. Just gives you a whole new appreciation for the album seeing and hearing all these perspectives.

Thats. Mandoline player and the Dobro player are olyshitly incredibly good but they are all top notches musicians they are true professinal...as a bass player myself i lift up my hat to the Double bass player witch is very dificult to play he his the soul of that band very inderestimated talent my finger and my hand hurt just by looking to him play like that ❤

When each person takes a turn soloing, is it written out ahead of time? Originally thought up on the fly, or does Bela write the solos? Anyone?
I'm not really going to enjoy any more bluegrass that doesn't have Sierra.
I accidently came across these guys playing Strider and after listening to it 50,000 times in a row ordered it on-line and can't wait to get it so I can listen to it no-stop until it disintegrates. Instead of going to heaven when I die, I'd rather just listen to them.
Amazing artist on this album and Bela is a genius...but this Album "my bluegrass heart" is anything but bluegrass.

Michael Cleveland (in my opinion) "steals" this entire album. The entirety is a modern masterpiece.
Oooooo but Leftwich and Stuart are soooo good too. It’s hard to choose just one. Definitely has the best covered in this album/tour.

Dang, I like this version better than the album.
Bela love your playing as well as your wives. I play upright bass and electric bass. How would you suggest i make a bass banjo? Would i be better to make it like a upright bass or acoustic bass guitar? Also love to see more of your wive and you put out more albums. Also why not have one of your songs play the bass banjo and the other play another type of banjo from the banjo to make it a family event.
You know in the traditional folk and bluegrass worlds families always form musical group it would be neat to see your wife and you with your two boys form a musical touring group that does the circuit. You can always call your family musical group " The Fleck Family Banjo Band"or something like that.

I'm such an enormous fan of every musician featured on this album. Bela, for you to bring everyone shown here together is truly incredible. Sierra and Michael are two of my favorite young bluegrass players and once I heard each of them I knew that they were destined to be among the top names in bluegrass. NOT A MISSED NOTE. Michael Cleveland has taken his playing to another level (reminder: HE"S COMPLETELY BLIND). He has added more finesse and breadth. IMO, he's now nearing the O'Connor level. Sierra and Bryan are incredible. Bela is Bela. He has redefined the banjo.
