I agree about how awesome he IS. Please reconsider the latter. I think the daughter element in music is beneficial. For without what is past we cannot balance in the present. To rob the present of the gems I m music for instance we steal the future of its gems of history which occurs in the moment. I like a lot of the present day in music. I love what is past for it is a different beauty after all one cannot compare Shakespeare with Hemingway and yet who would deny the greatness of both. The seed of yin is within yang the seed of yang is within yin. Yet neither is separated at any time from the other. One cannot have moonlight without dark of the sky and neither can the sunshine be separate from darkened cloudy sky. There is ever both together. This flow creates what is next and when there is flow of what comes next there is gratitude for what is come before. There will never be enough time to appreciate all of the music there us to hear

Nat King Cole is a great role model for today 's generation of music entertainers. He controlled his own career; he maintained the rights to all of his music recordings. During his time he had to hire his very own private security to protect him and his family. Also, he invested and deposited all of his earnings into Panamanian banks. The synagogue of Satan hated him because they couldn't control him. That meant him and his family lives were always in danger. It was unheard of during his time for any black man or woman in the music business to be independent of the pest and pariahs. Over the years, he hadn't received any music awards for his music up until his daughter (Natalie) recorded her rendition of unforgettable; she was given an Emmy in the early 2000s. A great person and an outstanding example, Mr. King was. His legacy will live on, throughout the age history. Thank you, Mr. Cole, for your dignity and self-respect.

Last night I watched Natalie's 1992 concert. It wasn't only her voice that elevated me to paradise. Her stage presence, her facial expressions, her use of the stage - moving gracefully from spot to spot - what more can I say? Everyone who cherishes jazz, Broadway and pop shouldn't miss this concert.

Just a man and microphone, smoothly destroying the house and melting an audience with God's gifted voice. Presenting the cold King of that beautiful, articulating style of vocalizing where you clearly understand every cleanly spoken/sang word (Frank, Dean, Sammy, etc.) A soaring and subtle performance delivered with supreme effortless grace. How true that the great ones make it look like it's easy to be that great. "Yeah, I could do that." And then he calmly goes over to the piano and proceeds to go virtual virtuoso. I've never seen anything so COLD SMOOTH in my life. What tone. What timing. Thank goodness he couldn't do the splits or I'd be headed for an inferiority complex.

From a Nat King Cole fan in the UK great show. I was watching this with my wife and hadn't seen the year mentioned at the start. I was mesmerised when Nat stood up and I looked at his jacket. I said to my wife- Wow I used to wear an outfit like that! The jacket with the narrow lapels was known as the "Italian style" plus the shirt with the cutaway collar and the slim jim tie. It must have been filmed in 1961 at least. In the end, there was the date on the credits and I was spot on. Great singer great style. Many thanks from a 60s fashion icon in the UK

You probably know that Cole founded his reputation first as a jazz pianist, he never sang! He had a Jazz quartet and was performing somewhere in Europe and the audience begged him to sing a popular American song, and the rest is history, as they say. There are recordings of him only on piano with his Jazz group and he's a monster musician. You can get a little taste of it here at 32:40, on Tea for Two.

Lo escuchaba cuando era pequeña como de 6 años.... Y ahora que ha pasado más de medio siglo, sigue estando entre mis favoritos, su voz inolvidable ha traspasado todas las generaciones

Wow wow really he did that kind of music 🎵 those days we love it for a beautiful wedding day celebration for the bride and groom to dance with this beautiful music with each other together right there like that.

Compare this version of "Stardust" with those Nat did on The Jack Benny Show (1964), and his own TV series, The Nat King Cole Show (1957).
