I remember you saying in a previous video, that people where saying you needed to do this or that with the mail box. As retired rural mail carrier, I could only dream of my customer's having their boxes fixed as nice as yours. Room to get off the road, house number on the box and at the correct height nice.

I bought that type of silicone for the inside of my blower and garage door wheels. Nice looking culvert job. As long as vehicles stay left of the white line it's all good.

Hope you meant 1-B’s around your ADS pipe. I’ve installed miles of it and we always bed & chaulk the pipe at least 1/2 way up with 1-B clean stone. This gives great support underneath were you cant get to compact the stone and will prevent your pipe from becoming egg shaped over time.

Blaster is good stuff, when I was working on the airplanes we used Aero Kroil, now called Kroil, they have to be the best stuff for a penetrating oil I have ever used they have a Graphite, Silicone and a standard product, can be hard to find sometimes but if you see it, try it you might like it. There are always those people who have nothing better to do than to write spiteful remarks to things they know nothing about, Mike, you are a better man than I am, I would go on a Rant towards those 'haters' and give them Both Barrels. The way you handle them 'on air' is commendable, I would not be so kind to them. Soon to be 'Home Owner, not Condo Dweller' from Milwaukee, WI. We bought a new place, no more HOA Dues or Karen's telling me what I can and can't do with my own house.

That silicone lube should be fine we use to carry either crisco or vegetable oil in case we ran out of lube most pipe lube is vegetable oil based it wont eat the rubber seals.
I think that's smart bowling out the area at the inlet of the pipe especially at the angle the water will come in off the driveway ditch!. Your doing a great job it should work out just fine!. Morgans stay dry the next 5 days!.

The good thing about the traffic cones is they help keep vehicles out of the construction area, and if they get hit, no body usually gets hurt. Construction around traffic is always a risk because people begin looking at equipment instead of paying attention to their driving.

    Hello! 😊
It is good practice to dig a little cavity under the spigot end of the pipe when adding an additional joint. This helps keep the bell end of the adjoining pipe from pushing dirt and rock into the mating area when the bell is pushed on to the spigot. Quite often this is why this operation becomes difficult and not properly executed. Another reason is misalignment of pipe centerlines. If lubricant is not available, use some grease from the grease gun on the tractor. Lubricant is very important. Another commentator said to use dish washing soap and that is a very good idea but use plenty.

You obviously place too much confidence in idiot drivers - like the countless ones that slam into brightly lit police, fire and roadside safety vehicles EVERY SINGLE DAY. Besides, in almost every state, it is required by law to put traffic cones and/or construction ahead signage in work/construction areas touching on public roads and highways. Not certain about PA but regardless, at a minimum Mike is setting himself up for trouble if some pinhead isn’t paying attention and slams into him or his equipment. Especially now that on this video he has acknowledged he probably should but if someone can’t see his big Orange excavator, then oh well! Even if he is the one who gets hit, he could face some serious legal issues.

I have got mention again how rich the soil in your front yard looks. It looks wonderful. It reminds me of the soil I saw when I was visiting Minnesota and Wisconsin. The soil up there is more black than brown. Here in NC, most top soil is red. Great for ponds, not so great for gardens.

I’d imagine the soil is the result of leaves falling from trees in forests for thousands of years.

That excavator of yours sure makes light work of those boulders you had to move !! Moved them as if they were mere "pebbles" !! Ha, Ha !!

Mike a few things love your channel and family. Having been a contractor for over 30 years in the most over regulated state, I so agree with you on permits. Sometimes we do need them I agree but 9 times out of 10 if you call them there answer will will yes and it will cost this much. All about the money for them . The crazy part sometimes the permit fees cost more then the project. Keep up what your doing and god bless. Oh I have lots of family in Johnstown haven’t been back in years

I like watching the raw digging power of that 97-2... what a machine. Have you ever gotten it up to full throttle yet?

Thats funny you mentioned about the fabric catching fire. I just cut geo fabric a few days ago and thought, man I should go grab my torch and do it the way MM does it. I ended up cutting it with my knife like a chump.

Happy Birthday Archie 🎂. As far as the traffic control goes. It doesn't look like your living on a major road. I would have done something like a sign telling people that you're there, but I don't think that you have anything like that. I have stuff that I could do something like that.

the rule of thumb for culverts. is half the diameter of the pipe up to 1 foot of cover. After that it stays 1 ft.
