We are a diehard Disney Cruise Line Family and last year we did Alaska. We decided DCL was too expensive and decided to book Princess for all the reasons you listed. Everyone told us it was the best in Alaska. We had a 5yo and a 3 yo with us and I wasn’t expecting much as far as kid entertainment BUT Princess did an amazing job. Everyone from our little ones to the grandparents had an amazing time!
I love that I've found you guys, just love your videos/adventures. You guys are like my husband and I in reverse. Don't worry our spouses like our enthusiasm and don't mind when we take over conversations. 😉😂
Just foud your channel and so glad I Did because you guys are the best. Just average folk sharing what they have learned with other average folk. I was born and raised in Anchorage but left in 71 after living there for 15 years and now want to take a cruise up the coast from Seattle but have no idea of where to start planning from there. But now i have a greater understanding of how to start planning. Thank you guys you are great.👍
We're going on our second Alaska cruise on Princess in 2 weeks (to celebrate our 50th Anniversary), with a couple of days in Anchorage before the cruise. I appreciate your videos so much. I really think you have the best Alaska ones out there! Thank you for this video in particular. I was already excited and now I can't wait to get going!
49th State Brewing was my favorite with Ty last summer. That lobster mac and cheese was incredible and the portion was huge. Great vibe, great food, great beverages.
Taking my first cruise to Alaska in June! This channel was GREAT while deciding what we wanted to do at the ports! (Like Shrine of St Therese, driving through the Yukon to Carcross)
We just got back today from our Alaskian cruise on Discovery Princess and we had a wonderful time. My only regret that I was not aware of until the naturalist did his talk was knowing that the whales were still migrating from Hawaii to Alaska in May. He said there could be some early arrivals, but for the most part they were still migrating. We only saw one tail though others saw more. We didnt do the whale excusion out of Juneau because it was so cold & rainy.
We took a short excursion to a totem park in Ketchikan, but then we walked around. Went to Woodlands and a couple other stores and had lunch. Great place for just walking. In Juneau we were docked at a far dock, not the one right in town so needs a shuttle bus if you didn’t have an excursion. We went to Mendenhall. Took the White Pass train ride in Skagway. I’d love to come back but it’s a.long trip from the east coast!
My first bite of Alaska was Homer! Great choice! Loved the drive from Anchorage to Homer & stopping off at so many places to explore as an independent traveller in a rented SUV.
We are flying into Seattle for our cruise that leaves from Vancouver. We are taking the Quick Shuttle. It's $40 per person ROUND TRIP. :-) Would love to have ya'll on our Alaskan Cruise on Cunard Queen Elizabeth
If you come to Alaska and see Denali, you will be a member of the 30% club. In the past two weeks, she has shown herself only four days. A group of mountain climbers spent five days sleeping in chairs at the Talkeetna airfield before it was clear enough to land on the glacier at base camp.
I remember in the 70’s , my science teacher had gone on an Alaskan cruise. He brought his slides and found it so much fun and interesting to watch. I don’t know what cruise line it was back then though.
You guys are so knowledgeable about travelling, thanks so much for your informative videos. My favorite are Fiji because I'm taking my daughter there in August after Hawaii and Australia. I learned so much from your Fiji videos.
We’re not cruise people but we have been going on 3 times coming up! We fell so hard for the state we our considering moving there! Don’t wait until you retire to visit! I hear that all the time….Life is too short people!!!! Visit now!! You won’t regret it! And PS.. who doesn’t love pizza and beer? Denali brewery pizza also amazing along with Moose’s tooth!
We are going on our 1st Alaskan cruise soon. Your videos have been so helpful. We took your advice and are renting a car in Juneau. There's so many beautiful things to see. Thanks for the reminder that I can't see everything on my first trip. But I sure am going to try and see as much as I can.😅 We did add a week long land portion as well.
Whales! If you want to see whales make sure your itinerary includes JUNEAU! We went late May and went whale watching in Juneau. WOW! We are from Southern California and have gone whale watching many times at home. Nothing compares to what we saw in Juneau. Surrounded by humpbacks and orcas and sea lions and bald eagles for three hours straight. The entire time they were all over the place. Our minds were blown!!!!
Visit the website for the Alaska Railroad, they have amazing tours all over the state. And yes, you can find AirBnbs as well. Lots of great options around the state
Gosh, we've cruised out of there 3 times and haven't had any horrible experiences. Some better than others, but no horror stories from us. Smaller ships seem to be better simply because of less people
Great to hear! Thanks so much. You never know with all the various videos out there. Appreciate y’all’s info on all your videos! Looking forward to your post after your current cruise. Seabourn is on our short list for next Alaskan cruise.
We didn’t have to for our cruise and I think most cruise lines have done away with mandatory testing. I would double check with your cruise line just to be safe.
October is definitely starting to feel colder. Bring warmer layers, but one of the upsides is that it is starting to get darker and colder so there may be a chance for the northern lights!

Homer is soooo beautiful! What a great first bite!

Just to add to your busy schedule, you two should become Travel Agents specializing in Alaskan Cruising :) Id book thru you!
Ha! We've actually had several people suggest that. Maybe someday in the future...
Mom and I are booked on Disney in September 2025! Wish you were on our ship! That would be awesome!!

The tram at Icy Point!😳 lifelong skier, skied in some incredible places with gondolas, but that tram! Wow!
Hi guys! Thank you for answering my question.. looking forward to the Anchorage specific video. I’d like to try some of your coffee places too!
I do miss Alaska the beauty of this state I was in preschool while I lived with my grandparents

Thank you Adam and sweet Sherri stay safe .
I would add Club Paris to the Anchorage restaurant list.
Best book store to visit in Alaska
This was so good! 💕 Thank you!
Yes the Krabby grilled cheese at 49th is my fav but shhh that place is packed in summer and us Alaskans can’t get in
It’s been a while since I’ve been back - have Glacier Brewhouse and Humpy’s fallen out of favor of great places to eat ?
How much is a taxi to Mendenhall Glacier?
I think we need more Sherri bookish content. Alaska bookstore tour video?!
Oooooh, that's a fun idea!
If we had more time, we would have liked to have added the land tour in Denali. Next time...
That's the beautiful thing about Alaska, they can always be a next time!
Does Princess have Alaskan brewery products onboard?
Is there a train tour you can recommend? Can we rent an Air BnB anywhere in Alaska?
Visit the website for the Alaska Railroad, they have amazing tours all over the state. And yes, you can find AirBnbs as well. Lots of great options around the state
Have heard horror stories embarking out of Vancouver. Any tips on making it less painful? Thank you

Hello, I am going on Alaska Cruise from Seattle next week. Do I need to take covid test before embarkation?
We didn’t have to for our cruise and I think most cruise lines have done away with mandatory testing. I would double check with your cruise line just to be safe.
@@LeggLife I'll check it out, too. Thanks
I’m going on a cruise October of the first week how’s the weather?
