OMG my little sister had a Shrunken Apple Head maker toy.....she almost burned the house down when she decided to use golden delicious and make one WHILE SHE WAS SLEEPING! The monster kits were mostly from a company called Aurora, and originally came out in 1960's. They were re-issued around 1974. Mainly movie, and TV models, a few originals in there like 'grave robber's reward'(you can probably guess). Some company did kits/dioramas of giant preying mantis, and giant spiders, etc., attacking towns - the towns would be, I think, like printed scenes on cardboard. Am sure there were more around 1974/1976 period.

I was finishing up high school in the early 70s and am pretty much unfamiliar with most of these other than the Cabbage Patch dolls, a few of which my sister had. Mom asked me if I wanted one, since even grown women were collecting them, but I said no thanks. Lol. I'd imagine quite a few of these items (if in pristine condition) could make a collector some money (?) I was never much into dolls (other than Chatty Cathy and Barbie for awhile,) but of the ones you showed, the Baby Beans dolls would be ideal for little girls (makes me think of the old homemade type dolls).

    • @miriambucholtz9315

I remember Cabbage Patch dolls from the 80s, which is when my 2 daughters would have been old enough for them. As it was, we couldn't afford to buy them, so I found a pattern for soft-sculptured dolls in JoAnn's and made a couple of them. You could even individualize the facial features (my older daughter said she wanted an Asian doll) by adjusting the threads. My friend told me that some of the other kids' mothers refused to believe that I had sewn them. Too bad.

I had the Sunshine Family and they were fun. What was so cool about them is they came with directions on how to make items using what would be generally junk. For example I remember you could make a seat using lids of cans, a couch using a milk carton and a playpen using a strawberry container. The bean babies look familiar to me as well but not sure if I had them. I didn't have it, but one year for someone's birthday me and a friend combined money to buy the Jaws game. I remember playing it (maybe with the person I bought it for) and it scared me because it had a loud noise. I haven't gone to a kids birthday in years but I wonder if kids even get toys from their friends at these parties anymore. It was a big deal getting toys I never would have gotten otherwise.
