Godaddy needs to stop turning off auto-renewal in customers accounts and stealing customers domains to auction them.

That doesn't sound like something we would do. Happy to review your account and confirm what happened, if you could reach out to us at x.co/247support. ^CG

@@GoDaddy yet you did and have the domain up for auction for almost $4000 very shortly after it came out of redemption. I had to advise my customer to register a new domain elsewhere. I even told them they had to be mistaken until I investigated. The same happened to me over 10 years ago but at the time I thought it was just a coincidence. The problem seems to be that your company has become so large that it no longer values the small customers that used to keep it afloat. Long gone are the WWD days.

A domain being sold for $4000 sounds like a Premium Domain listing which is a price set by the current registrant owner who may have recently acquired the domain after it expired from your client. Again, we would be happy to look into this and confirm what occurred if you can reach out to us at x.co/247support. ^CG

Did you lose your Domain? Or do you know people that have lost their Domain? Thanks for sharing.
A small business told me they had to go to Court to get their Domain back because GoDaddy failed them. Cost them thousands. Sadly my Domain got sold off and GoDaddy are part of my Hosting site, but under a different name. Evil!
It's time to demand that we own Domains we create with our individual name ideas. Renting is a scam.

Godaddy stole my domain idea that I worked so hard for. I was about to purchase it and suddenly it became unavailable. Now they want me to pay for broker fee. What a quick way to get rich by exploiting people. JUST A TIP: NEVER USE GODADDY IN SEARCHING FOR THE AVAILABILITY OF YOUR DOMAIN

We're sorry about the trouble. If the domain that you searched for is now gone, that means another customer purchased, and registered the domain before you. If you need further assistance or help with finding a domain, please contact our support teams to assist you here: www.godaddy.com/help/contact-us. Thank you, ^A

If the domain was recently removed from your account by yourself, you should be able to recover the most common domains placed in a temporary canceled/hold status using www.godaddy.com/help/recovering-expired-domain-names-5018.
For any specialty domains or when not finding your canceled domain listed in this section of your account, you'll want to reach out to our live support team at www.godaddy.com/contact-us.aspx. ^CG
