Because of this video I ordered one for my brother who was looking for a fan and asked for my advice. Used you link and coupon and ended up spending just under 80 euro incl shipping. I think that's a steal!
Awesome! I really like this device. My neighbors saw and experienced mine.. and wanted to have one as well.. but they were afraid that it would cost too much. I had them guess and they said 250€ 😅 then I told them it's around 80€ and they ordered one right away as well 😂
@@MartijnWester It's amazing that your neighbors actually value the device 3 times the price. I would have also guessed at least €120+, the price is really insane.
Great review, Martijn! Btw, got suggestions: maybe you could put up 6 mos. or 1 year later reviews of your Xiaomi appliances in the future.. So we could see how these products hold up? I would love to see your take!
I have both the smart mi fan and this tower fan. And I also much prefer the smart mi fan. The tower looks quite nice but feels like cheap plastic, is big, the base is not stable enough, makes noise after couple of times. Bought that one to try a new shape, but should have bought another smart mi, not much more expensive, plus mine has a battery.
Great review. Just one thing though. It would have been better if you had mentioned the height of the fan. I had to go and search the fan’s specifications to find out. It’s 110cm high. Seriously thinking of buying one through your link. Thanks!
Xiaomi products that are sold outside of china use google home only their china only products will have xiaomi mi installed on it and can't use google due to the political situation over in mainland China.
Hello. Does it have cold and heat settings? If yes, how much cold does it blow? how many degrees does it ride in the hottest? I would be glad if you answer.
@@MartijnWester Well not yet really. Apparently it only connects to the European server, while all my other stuff is China server. So I just have dual mi home apps to control it. I'll probably link it to the sensors via home assistant on my raspberry pi :)
Ik zie bij jou die soundbar hangen is dat die van Xiaomi ook? Zoja is daar al een review van geweest? Ik heb zelf de Xiaomi Rosou SS4 bladeless fan wel een mooi product ook.
It's not "smart" unless it can be voice controlled. Scrounging for your phone at 3am because the fan is blowing too cold is not sexy. Can it connect to Alexa?
Hi! I just got this fan and I already have it all set up :D I was hoping to be able to control it with Google Home, though. And as per checking, only my Xiaomi Desk Lamp is available when linking my Xiaomi Home account with Google Home. Does this mean the fan is incompatible with Google Assistant? If so, that's really disappointing :(
@@jaimecusihuaman2355 Yes, this was the first thing I did. I couldn't even find the fan in the Xiaomi app when logging in thru other servers. I looked it up and I read that it only works with Mainland China.
@all, yes, I have too many gadgets that only work on the China server and the EU gadgets that I have, often work there as well. Other tip, use 'dual apps' on your phone. So you can create another Mi Home app with EU servers and control your yeelights from there :)
@@vern2982 yeah that's one thing, but I figured out the real issue, if I change the country option in the app to mainland china it detects the fan. But doing so will remove all my other devices connected.
Lousy fan. Wind not strong and swing mode faulty in less than one year. So remember to keep your receipt if its under warranty cos the customer service sucks

I personally like the tower look better the fan ina house always looks cheaper to me.
Blown away with your review 🤣😂🤣
That fan looks great 😍 brilliant that it uses so little electricity too 👍
Good to read you're blown away by the review 😂😅
In terms of airflow, how does this compare to the Mijia Smart Fan 1X?
how do you disassemble the base? i snapped it together before reading the manual only to find out that the cord won’t pass through :-(
MKBHD logo inspired hehe nice! 😊👌
What's your personal preference, this model or the X1? And Wich one is the most quiet?
why there's no mention that you can't add this Smart Tower Fan to Mi Home app if you're using other Xiaomi products bought in Europe?
I found a solution. If you interested I can share here.

Hi Martin,
Can you automate this with Google Home, or does it require the Xiaomi app? Thank you!

How does the fan speed compared to traditional fan? Is it faster?
should i get this or the xiaomi 1x?
How to disassemble the base? Made the mistake of assembling it first before looping in the cord.
Hi my friend to turn it on do you have to be on the same wifi. Or you can turn it on even away from home?
Solid review brother. Damn that's one quiet fan
Yeah! It's a beast. Thanks for the feedback :))
looks nice and think of starting with that for my smarthome gadgets. But what plug does it have? does it come with an adapter?
Hello. Does it have cold and heat settings? If yes, how much cold does it blow? how many degrees does it ride in the hottest? I would be glad if you answer.
I don’t think it works that way. It’s a fan so it circulates the air. ^^”
what is the dimension of the fan? especially the height? thanks
Does it heat in the winter?
What confuses me the air's quality , it's a breeze or cold air ?
Does it work with alexa?
So does it actually cool the air or just recirculate it????
Does this work with Amazon Alexa like the other Xiaomi fans ?
Would like to know as well
Just go the mi fan 1c! I am really happy with it, especially for the price. This tower looks really good aswell, though.

I have a problem adding it, which region did you use in the mi app?

What is the height from the base to the blower? Thanks
