Great job and video glad to see how them damn bars are made I had no idea, you are the only one on youtube that I could find that that had the balls to tear one of them down so keep up the good work.
It is coming together nicely!
Yep, it'll be going into my scrap iron pile. Looks like I've almost got enough for another load.
It is looking real good now.
You may want to use the gray silicone by permatex. Its the gray rtv gasket maker. Good stuff. I dont think clear silicone is oil resistant.
Hopefully the o-ring will be enough, the silicone is just for backup. I think it'll be ok and I've already put it on anyways.
I would have heated the toothed gear ca. 150 C °, I would definitely repair and use your machines without wages!
Thanks, I believe it is too!
Thanks!
LOL, thanks. I wasn't sure myself.
Thanks for doing this video series on this! About how much did it cost you in bearings to do the whole thing?
I can't remember the total cost, but those bearings aren't cheap! Some of them were almost $100 apiece. I believe I spent around $4000 for everything.
Where did you get your bearings and races?
From my local Kuhn dealer
