This is such a cool deck, I love his style and art. I have neglected my paintings, it's true and heartbreaking at the same time. Been working alot, to pay bills and no space for painting where I'm at currently. For me when I walk into an art store it's like walking into a candy shop, of how happy it makes me feel. Hopefully I will be able to connect to my art again, circumstances at the moment is too complicated that I am unable paint, but working towards making it possible. I was just thinking about this when I came across this message, it really bought me to tears bcz its been painful to give up this hobby for me like I feel the absence the grief the lack of joy bcz it bought so much ease to me and it really was a comfort and place of inspiration and truly feeling passionate, alive, magic even, I have been feeling stuck for long its almost like restarting life after a period of burnout and depression realising all the lost time not knowing how to put everything together again, I have often felt guilty for missing this hobby for craving it feeling its impractical to want it, to simply accept that its okay to want it, to make place for it in my life no matter how slow or small steps is relieving...

I dont know whether this message is for me or not - but I am a fan of Edward Gorey also - I have a whole book of his work (I like The Doubtful Guest and The Ghashlycrumb Tinies in particular). I find his art inspirational being a similar type of artist myself 🦇
