- On today’s Episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, the lads are lifting the lid on exactly what happens in the gym at a Premier League Club.
We hear about the players that like to avoid the gym at all costs yet seem to maintain a god like physique all year round as well as others who are more concerned with making your ears bleed than achieving a PB on bench press.
Crouchy also talks about how there is now more emphasis not just on staying physically fit but mentally fit in today’s game compared to when him and Steve were still in the dressing room.
Chris, who is currently on his own fitness and well being journey also talks about how getting down the gym is changing his outlook on life.
In other business, the lads have a very informative message from Countryfile’s very own Adam Henson who explains why Anderson had exactly the right idea when putting his money into cattle and the lads answer your burning question on which football ground provides the best food when the lads are on comms…

I saw something recently about how keepers back in the old days wore a cap to differentiate themselves from the rest of the team.

Once saw the fitness and stamina of a footballer compared to a top class ballet leading man. The measurements showed it was the ballet dancer!
That game that Peter described as 2 touch is very similar to what they do at wolves with a dedicated court that is liek a 3 sided squash court with a proper net. Watch the wolves website training or new player vids and it will feature a lot.The players love it
What happened to last weeks friday pod ?
I was in Beijing giving a storyboard presentation for a car commercial to a group of Chinese officials. After I ended my part of the presentation, the head honcho/General jumped in to give me feedback on the idea. He started calm but built up to the point that he was completely losing it - accusing me of trying to start a potential conflict between two nations (he misunderstood an image of a fighter jet flying over a car). The translator was good enough to translate it into English in the exact same tone and ferocity in my ear piece. He was dripping in sweat and banging the table, screaming at me. The translator did exactly the same. I was terrified. After around 10 minutes of being verbally abusive, he calmed down and I was allowed to leave. Closing the door behind me, my client turned and said "well I thought that went well". We replaced the jet with a Cesna in the final commercial.

in regards to wearing caps i would assume it's to do with peripheral vision and trying to maximize that, your peripheral would be slightly obscured wearing a cap, but in not wearing one also makes no sense as you would be squinting which would also have a negative impact on your peripheral vision lol!
