That spoon looks like a parfait spoon, long so you can get to the bottom of the glass. I wish Indiana had all that bottle history, looks like fun digging up treasure.
@Adventure Archaeology I actually grew up with my mom having a full set of Parfait glasses with straw spoons made of Sterling silver. Many great memories as a child doing everything from floats and parfaits. The spoon at the end of the straw was on top of the silver straw and was shaped like a heart but concave pretty cool. I am certain they came from her mom.
@@adventurearchaeology My Mom had the spoons sterling long straw with a heart shaped sterling spoon end on them. And we had the matching parfait glasses, great childhood memories of those.
You've got a better 'stache than my other favorite You Tube guy, "Zed". He's shaved off his latest try at it. "In Mud we Must" is our club motto, you guys live it. That's a juleps spoon. I dug a Nickel one here a while ago. I found a cobalt cone in '16. I bought a Wyeth's with the box instructions dose glass & all unopened full contents "Kissingen salts". It complies with the 1906 Act, for approximate dating. Now I "Don't need to worry about them", have found whole & broken dose glasses of them.
Father and Son Digging Magic ! All those Cokes and yes - we love that Spoon ! History Dug Up and Preserved ! You all had a Great Time and You found some Rare Bottles again - love that Blue Ink ! Many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
My son today asked if we could go dig bottles today in the rain. I said no He said Brandon digs in the rain. My wife said if you come in my house like that muddy and all she was going to throw bottles at us !! So we will wait lol. Great Video once again Brandon along with the Alabama Bottle Mafia members
@@steveclark4291 Just tilt the jar over pour out a little liquid and drop out the olives - no problem ! Otherwise take a damned chop stick and stab the damned olive and pull it out of the bottle (at the pimento hole of the olive). !!!
I inherited a long spoon that I was using for cleaning out the last of the mayonnaise in the jar. When I wanted a spare, I had a hard time finding one until I discovered that mine is actually a martini spoon! Now I have a spare! That's what your find made me think of!
Great team of guys, your finds are awesome! So happy for you all, dad seemed to have so much fun. Great day and I hope you have a great weekend.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hey Brandon I love your idea of making a chandelier from bottles found without the heels!! I think it would look pretty cool!! Especially if they were shoulder script!! Stay safe out there!! 🙂🙏💜
Man what an awesome day Brandon, and what a special time getting to dig with your dad. I'm not sure of his age but he seemed to be hopping those holes like an old jack rabbit. Still got some pep in his step lol. Great video as usual man, and as always Thanks for taking us along.
Always enjoy your videos n your great finds. This video looked like everyone did well , even your dad. Finding old bottles the way you do always fascinates me. Wish I started doing this Hobby many years ago. A little late for a old lady like me who’s almost 72 in 12 days. Watching you n friends will be my enjoyment for a life time. Always hoping you’ll find that “ one”. ♥️♥️♥️♥️😊👍🌟🎄
Great dig guys! I'm new to the channel and still trying to catch up on some past videos but this was a really cool dig. Loved the chandelier idea to. I work with stained glass and even with that, if you can find the older glass to work with it really looks beautiful with the light.
A couple years ago there was a new road being put in near where I live and they were hauling dirt and gravel from the new road and dumping it in a pile about 100 yards away which they would level off every so often. They turned up an old city dump from the early 1900s to the early 30s. Between a few of us we found at least 200 bottles and we were just taking what was on the surface and hadnt done any digging. It sounds like there may be some construction on where theyd dumped it all come spring or summer. Unfortunately I am not likely to be able to check the area as they start digging because I will be recovering from spinal surgery.
Another enjoyable episode, now, I've watched a "couple " from New Orleans area? Now, they dig up miriads of embossed bottles, Brandon, every town/city is different. Where's your glory hole of medicine bottles at???
Interesting ... Can only find E Kahn & Co Inc Baltimore MD in reference to post-Prohibition (1920-1933) patent trademarks in 1934, 1935 - sellers of whisky, brandy, gin, etc liquors. There is an online book, The Jews of Baltimore MD, (a jewish database of businessmen, whisky and beer producers, liquor sellers, etc etc) - but is currently offline for research. This bot is also curious. Anything earlier (1860s-1920) remains elusive as these post-1933 bots would have the "Federal Law" embossing on it. This is a pre-Prohibition bot of (1890s-1920) period and doesn't have the A G Smalley of Boston (jobber and bottle distributor) having the patent trademark embossings of (1894-) FULL MEASURE or (1905-1920) WARRANTED. So this is not a Smalley liquor flask.
@@adventurearchaeology I know all about it, mine is from Southern Spain for info. they eat bull's testikels...... So, real simple, I behave ...... And a big hug for her from here
We do but it’s a long 7 day process. So we have a 3 bottle minimum for a flat rate of $65. Bottle owner would be responsible for shipping cost to and from. It’s expensive but we’ll worth it if you have a rare bottle.
I've tried several historical map sites, but can't one with anything older than 1969 in Alabama. I live in Opelika and was trying to do some creek walking here. How do you find your sites?
Adventure archeology u should look up the u tube channel outdoors weekly n do calab with they been tryin mudlarking he travels world doin magnet fishing n stuff n Louisiana now he has lot of subscribers n sure he could use guidance on your specialty!!!
Love that huge stopper
Diggin up the past one bottle at a time. Quality friend time right there y’all.

Brandon,

Another fun video. Love the spoon, and the huge stopper. Those are cool. Some sweet bottles. Thanks for sharing!!
That long spoon is a bar stirring spoon for mixed drinks - high balls etc
Also Southerns used it for there sweet ice tea
A "Juleps spoon" as bartenders called them.
I would use that spoon to get olives out of those long deep jars behind the bar ! 😆 🤣

The ones we use are around $100 shipped.
