Flaka-Shaka-ding-dong. Best line ever! I'm just now getting into freestyle, it's not easy. Can you talk about how to transition from a freeride board (110-120L) to a freestyle board? I could use some help.
Thanks for the tips : helps manage with this trend to spin out due to the freesyle fin. What about carving maneuvre: will a freeride fin works as well?
A Freeride Finn Will transformer board and make it much easier for carving. However, these new style freestyle boards are very short from nose to tail. They love being in the air and do not carve quite as cleanly as a freestyle wave for Freeride board. This is an amazing board, but if you are not actually trying new school, explosive, aerial freestyle, then you are better off with something like the kode or carve
V soon! We’ll be in Vass and I’ll be having a windsurfing lesson on 21st September, hope I meet you so I can buy you a beer. Been watching your videos (sometimes 4 and 5 times) for a couple of years. Your “getting planing has been very useful in the last two weeks. I’ve realised I need a smaller board which means I need to learn to water start. Spyro will have his work cut out.
Can I just put a bigger fin on to stop the spin out? 29cm? Looks like a playful board aside from that. And with a 29cm fin what distinguishes it from a fSW board? I have no interest in waves yet, just like blasting on smaller boards, so which would suit me more? Thanks
Thanks, just bought that board, so keep the tips coming! I’m completely lost at this point. Even having to figure out the best way to gybe the board…
Freestyle boards take some figuring out to sail… they’re not a freeride board and adjustments need to be made! 👍👍🤩🤩
Thanks - been out 3 times now and getting it dialed in little by little and loving it!@@Cookiesports

Sound like a Kode would be better suited…freestyle boards for freestyle, FSW Kode’s for blasting about, turning and playing on smaller boards 👌
