Out of all the knife reviewers no disrespect to the others but I look forward to yours more just because of videos like this. Very down to earth and doesn't feel like your always trying to sell a product to us. Thank you for always being real.
I completely agree, this is the only channel that has more then a 1000 subs that don't feel shilly with every post. Not saying they are but its always about the next kizer and all the "links"... I respect making people making a buck but it's getting totally out of hand on most channels.
Agree
I also look at every store I go into for knives, the hardware stores here have nothing good I like going to bass pro our sportsman's warehouse. I got a tool box from harbor freight for my knifes mostly to lock them up from the kids and I really like it !
Thanks everyone! 🥰 very kind words. We try to be as real as possible, either you love us or hate us. We appreciate you guys too. It’s a gift and a curse to like most knives, and honestly everyone starts somewhere and some price. -Frankie
Yeah, depressing, isn't it. All the places we used to be able to grab a basic good knife at, have reduced the quantity and quality of knife availability, and yes, I keep a major portion of my knives in a nice wooden tool box my kids got me several years ago. Good video, guys. Thanks
The insulation knife, that style is designed for industrial insulation that comes in squares about a foot thick.
I work in a mobile home manufacturing plant and we have 106 inch about 8 inch thick piece of insulation that goes in between studs every 16 inches and that long blade would help cut through it but how long will that edge last cutting through the fiberglass.
I bought a crescent brand knife with D2 steel for under 20 bucks clearance. It's chunky but it was a diamond in the rough.
Knife Hunt Vid. My Fav!
As a working carpenter I normally carry a drop point or clip point style blade. Currently carrying a "Freek" with a large deep carry clip off my CLA. No matter what the pocket knife is I have either the Leatherman Charge tti or the Wave+on my belt.
Same here but I mostly use a utility knife . I tried a freek a few weeks back at my local and they are nice 👍. Real nice imo . $250 though
@@Hungrybird474 i was fortunate. I purchased mine back before prices went up. I think I paid 195 if I remember correctly. I don't know if I'd buy it at 250.
It's pretty much the exact selection at my Lowe's. Been the same stuff forever.
😢😢
@@BirdShotIV have that orange handle knife. It is a great knife. I have 2 if them. And the small black handle one.
My Lowes has a rather lackluster knife selection as well. They just have a few CRKT, Gerber, Leatherman, and Outdoor Edge like yours has. They also have a few Craftsman box cutters and carpenter knives and those Crescent, Lennox and Kobalt knives.
Btw, I got that Work Sharp electric sharpener for my birthday last year. Love that thing!
My favorite video type!
The local Lowe's has a similar selection of knives. I'm in the northeast, so things like knives, self defense and any suggestion of self determination are frowned upon.
love you guys merry Christmas and happy new year
I did see a kobalt knife that looks pretty similar to the CRKT squid(apparently D2) in a nearby lowes, other than that the ones I sometimes go to have the same selection
His n hers Benchmades. Love it!
I think my Lowe’s and Home Depot are about like that it’s sad. The only place I think I have around here is a huge huge ace hardware that is supposed to have spyderco and stuff like that. I just need to make it down there.
7:20 BRUTAL!
Haaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy
👍👍! Thank you for sharing!
Use a tool box just like dat one for my knife collection. Keeps it in my office
Do you have Academy Sports up there? We have them all over the south and they carry a pretty good selection, including Benchmade.
No, sounds like we wish we did. -Frankie
i used to work for academy, they get BMs but it’s if your gun bar manager asks for them. The DC will also ask for them back if you’re not selling them like they wish
Well, your store has way more than my Lowe’s. If I needed a knife in a hurry, it’s good for that. I’m always comparing Home Depot vs Lowe’s and both are very clean, stocked and always helpful.
Ya, it’s a nice store.
I like the shopping videos!🎉❤😊
We all float down here!
Of course Lowes sucks for knives
Kreeepy
I have an insulation knife that has a foot long blade. It has a cutting edge on both sides and it's serrated. Cits fibre wool and fiberglass type insulation really good.
The crescent knife isn’t bad
Lowe's does blow, at least in the Seattle area
it be cool to see you guys go flea market looking for knifes or small shops
I'm going through cut that out of the video.. No your not
one by me has more knifes 3 case full of them end caps , then one on the wall side by hand tools. sometimes you have go to other spots or towns , town restrictions of knife laws, ones in chicago dont have to many knives only northwest suburbs
They had a crkt piet once and i loved it
There isn’t a Lowe’s near enough to me to go shopping but there is a Home Depot less than a mile from my home. My knife collection is stored in two Husky brand 16 inch plastic tool boxes. I was planning on buying a larger portable tool box with 3-4 drawers but I literally don’t have enough space for one.
I'm glad this finally came out. You mentioned it in the Meijer vid, and I couldn't find it. Thought I was going a little nuts.
Sorry, it hung around in the queue for too long..
This Video must have gotten lost in the algorithm somehow. I am watching it almost the end of July???????
we accidentally left it queued up.
It was nice cause we had something to upload tonight without having to work 😅😅
Yes Sir
The Crescent is a nice knive
👍 Heyyyy. My work sharp woop-de-doo pro plus platinum with diamond inlays (LOL) is finally in shipment. I can hardly wait to see what kind of damage I can do with it 😊
Frankie by the tool case brilliant knife storage I've got two mine are snap-on excellent storage you need to take comtrol love
The strangest thing about this video to me is the locked items. Cardboard and plastic packaging right? Using a dozen unlocked items within reach of the locked items those would be off the pegs. As my dad said “Locks just keep honest people honest.” If they want to lock them down… Even Walmart puts them in a case. 😂
I looked at Specialty Sports here in CO, it’s ok, Gerber etc. no Microtech’s. Scheels has Microtech’s, lol I kinda sold them out on a trip this spring 😁
I carry a Native 5 lw , a mora or BRK fixed and a 18mm Olfa to work. I guess you can call me a carpenter . I do alot of everything really.
5:15 legit swear I've gifted at least a half dozen of these to my dull-edged friends don't sleep on the Smith's mini 2 step as an epic stocking stuffer
Shoot. We have plenty of knife stores to shop. Including ETSY!
At Home Depot I got a Husky that had an utility blade & knife blade in the same knife. It keep me from carry 2 seperate blades in my pocket.
I kinda liked that Lenox fixed blade.
The knives are ok. What model were those scissors?
The insulation has a specific size and shape to cut insulation...I work for an insulation company now and alot of workers use cheap kitchen knives that they sharpen .
Reporting in from the Cape Girardeau Lowe's. Same lackluster selection.
Thanks
Lowe's don't have have much in my town either.
Bird, if Frankie wants a Gnome buy one for her. It would good watching over the catio
The Gnomes are cool.
I looked it up on Google Earth..and my nearest Lowe's is 3500 miles away and i need an airplain...😂😂
By the way...somewere in New York....
Then again i have a Hornbach near me and they have Morakniv in stock....so that..😁
Hey
I did 👍
The title says it all. 👍
👍
Leatherman too
Most Lowes are like that now for knives .Home depot is like that too
Love the vid. The knives .....meh !! Have a good one , thanks for sharing !!!!
I use those knives for work so if I damage it. Lose it. I'm not out allot of money. Every price point has its place.
I was interested in the scissors
Will try to pay more attention next time
My Lowes sells tamales in the parking lot, which i swear are the best damn tamales i have ever eaten. God bless Texas. 🤠🍻😁
I want to say back in the day… 👵🏻 makes me seem so old saying that… they used to have really good hot dogs in front of ours. -Frankie
How was the flashlight selection?
How could we skip those??
next time
Bird has a cool Swagger... 😎😎😎
😆 😆
I work at LOWES, and No that's all the Knives there ever are. Once in a great while we'll get in a New Special but they don't last.
Thanks for the insider info 👍👍
Same here, I’m a flooring specialist and people are always asking if we have knives and it’s like yea kinda?
No flashlights?
The 940/945 Osbornes the 940 is shorter isn't it
Correct 👍
Should have got a Klein or Milwaukee duct knife.
No milwaukee fastback 1505?
mini kobolt toolboxes
They never had a good selection but the last few times I went there, the Lowe’s in my area had a pathetic selection. They had a few of the tool brand knives, one overpriced Gerber, and pretty much everything else was utility blades. It’s sad.
They also used to have a good selection of hatchets and tomahawks, now they just have a store brand hatchet and the rest is hammers.
Ace hardware has alot of good knives but there are overpriced .its so hard to pay those prices when we know online retailers are so much cheaper .if its a family owned mom and pops ill gladly pay more .
Those Ace hardware stores are independently owned. Some have a sweet selection and some don't have crap.
My Walmart west city Illinois got better
First of all wow the knives section in your Lowes is huge mine only have 3 knifes y'all even have crkt the only good knife brand is Gerber
The toughbuilt tradesman. Next to the leatherman
Academy and brass pro shop Has a better collection of knives for sale 👍🏻
Firsty
Boooooo!
I saw a Cresent brand hammer at THD today, so it's not exclusive to Lowe's. In the 80's I did a Shiit-Ton of residential & commercial insulation & we would use blades like the one here to chink (stuff) strips of insulation into the door and window cracks, but ours were old kitchen knives from Goodwill or where ever! Menards has a better knife selection.
Just a Suggestion: The next time you go window shopping for knives, leave Frankie at home with the Kidz! ~ LoL
