    My son just made this, although it’s not as pretty I’m very proud that he followed your video and did it! We will see how the deer like it.

    I’m going to try this when I get home today. Only thing I don’t have is a thermometer. I’m going to attempt to do this without one, if it don’t set up and I will pour it on a stump

      Update: I found out you can check if you are at the cracking point if you put a drip of the hot molasses in a cup of cold water. It will either turn hard or dissipate. I did a gallon of molasses and converted the recipe as needed. However, I did have to boil it for about 2 hours.

    I see in your ingredients list it says 32oz cup for mold. What is this for? Does the block mold or mildew when it’s out for a while. Thanks man! Looking forward to trying this!

      No, sorry. I just saw this. With covid and everything I’ve been distracted while trying to keep my family away from that BS. By mold, I meant “to shape it, to give it the form of a block. Sorry for the confusion.

      Did you heat it to the right temp? If you don’t get it right to the crack point it won’t harden

      Just made 3 double batches. Thanks for the shared knowledge. House smells highly of molasses too.

    I’m using dried molasses and it’s turning to mush what am I doing rong ?

    • @bakerjeffery1970
      @bakerjeffery1970  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Using dried molasses because it has to boil and reach that rock candy consistency to harden.
