I am so grateful for TH-cam. Even though I am not far from Canada, being a Minnesotan, I never until tonight heard of Matthew Good and that has to be punishable by law somewhere, musically speaking ! lol ... But seriously, it is only because I was researching/cross-referencing artists who struggle with bipolar that I am introduced to this MASSIVE talent named Matthew Good and now, I am forever blessed. Not only by his music, but his persona. I watched some interviews as well. Thank you, Canada.

When I was in my late teens, my friend harbored her runaway friend. She left because her step-father was abusing her and her mother was ignoring it. She said she had to leave or she'd end up killing him. Jenni's Song song came out right around that same time, and it was like an anthem for us.
Canadian artist not promoted outside Canada but some college stations did have this genre music, 23 years of masterpieces after another 50 songs and should be in the rock in roll hall of fame.

Not bold at all. The guy is a musical genius and leaves his heart and pain in every song. Lyrically the guy is just way ahead of his time and he's an amazing musician too.. Most music is hollow only has to be catchy. Matt makes the music he want's to make to convey his own opinions.. How many artists or bands can even say that??
This song was originally called Sunup on the First release of Beautiful Midnight in Canada. I was in one of my most manic episodes that lasted for a couple months when I bought this album and thank god for that because I was able to see that there are people that I can identify with that I'm not so alone

I thought that was Anti Pop on Audio of Being? Running for Home to me seems the perfect end to the quasi concept album that is Beautiful Midnight so I'd be really surprised if this song was written on a whim.
Out into the public I once again go with my sledge hammer and the sense of entitlement... Sarah Weaver was right, the sound of breaking glass can be quite harm on e o u.s. :) don't forget to vote for black Santa :D
