I like to look at the best shooting guard discussion as a triumvirate. You’ve got Devin Booker, Donovan Mitchell, and Shai, who all have their strengths and flaws. To me, Mitchell is definitely the most devastating offensive player, whereas, Booker thrives at being a really resilient scorer and off-ball player. Shai might be the most funky player to evaluate in the league, but his playmaking is honestly on another level with his pace and change of speed. For my money, I’m starting to lean towards Mitchell because I believe that he processes the rare ability to simultaneously be a floor and ceiling raiser on offense, but his size does heavily limit his impact on defense.

Devin booker is inconsistent, disappears come playoffs , Donovan Mitchell just scores . Personally I’m taking gil younger more upside and making it happen with literally nothing on his team

i always liked shai from following the clippers when he was a rookie, he just has such a unique combination of talents for his position, and the fact that he isn't leaning extremely heavily on outlandish athleticism (relative to the NBA at least) it feels like the sort of level of play he can sustain for a really long time provided he stays healthy. i hope the thunder's insane pick collection converts into a contending team in okc

I saw him play double OT Vs the bulls in okc and it was dope. Shai my fav player this year by far
Chet getting hurt seemed like a huge blow at first, but patience is 🔑. He'll have another whole year to grow into his wonky frame and body. If he is the true paint presence we think he will be alongside Poku who we thought might have been it, but is showing major strides in this young season... We could have some nasty line ups next season 👀

Good video, but I think SGA is definitely more of a point guard than shooting guard. He’s played the large majority of his minutes the past few seasons as the 1.
Yeah I had no idea OKC has been running him at the 2. Why would they not keep Giddey at the 2 and SGA at 1?

I honestly don’t have a strong stance on this, it can vary from night to night.
My gut gives the benefit of the doubt to AD because of the defensive edge + more recent MVP level play.

We just didn’t see it because like Most PG in the NBA they just SGs Playing PG usually because they the best ball handlers or playmakers On Their Teams Respectively…
But the moment you see Shai Next To Giddey, Lonzo, Garland etc then you see “Shai is A SG” Takes

Is this composition of videos from current season? So much uncalled carry and travels... Being great player in bad team is nothing special. There are so many players that were below average in good teams and only after trade started getting good stats. It is not because they are good, it is because other players in the team are not good. But, I guess everybody is not on SGA cho-cho train...
