i love BOBBI BROWN, she was the queen of makeup- and the colors of her whole makeup are so beautiful. And the models always look so natural and never overdone. I miss her .
I have the same issue too. A lot of the problem is the lighting makes an effect and so many foundations oxidize. I use the makeup forever velvet matte foundation and it doesn’t oxidize on me. It also helps if you know if you have or cool, warm, or neutral undertone. Do you know yours?
Is always the same with every makeup artist, all their models they select are young, perfect features, no hooded eyes or big nose, lips ... etc, and all are with almost perfect skin texture, except maybe some discoloration or tone on common areas like under eyes or nose. That's why it's easier for these makeup artist to do their makeup with their brands of makeup products. Certainly after here a little there some bit of touch ups, the model's face looked perfect, flawless, radiant, ageless. But in reality, how many people have this type of almost perfect natural skin ? We all struggled with our issues, either acne or pimple skins, large pores and oily skins, combination skin, acne marks skin, discoloration and uneven skin tones type of skins, or matured and ageing sagging, wrinkles skins ...etc. It doesn't mean what the makeup artist uses on his or her model's skin, is definitely suitable for everyone. With this video, I just followed the steps Bobbi had used and does on her model. It turns out yucks for me. Especially on the makeup's tools, not everyone's skin can or suitable to use a brush to distribute the foundation uniformly. And not everyone's skin can be layered with so many moisturisers, toner, serum, essence, eye cream, primer. Then on the eyes is the same too, not everyone's eyes can be layered with corrector and then with another layer of concealer. After I followed every steps in this video, my end results turned out my face or rather said my makeup looked like a wall of layers of cements and so cakey. 👎🏻 Failed !
Agree. However not all tutorials works on all skin anyway. I dont have the perfect skin as she does but when I followed some make up tutorials from other beauty gurus, I always look either cakey, way older than my age, too much etc. In the end we followed those beauty gurus that works on us and according to our skin condition. This make up however works on my friend. She looks stunning and natural better than what she wear before. So this isnt actually failed. It all depends on you.
This is how I like my makeup, just looks like good skin & healthy glow

I can watch her do makeup all day. I wish there was a youtuber with this technique bc this is how I do my makeup
I adore BB! Amazing video, as professional as BB itself
Wow, that foundation was a 100% match.
When they were filming from the side the filter didn't really work so you could see what it really looks like
I remember I was watching this all the time when I was 12
Well, this is a flawless makeup application if I've ever seen one.
it looks so healthy and i really like this kind of makeup
I watch this over and over and I can’t look that good 😢 and no matter who matches me I’m always a different color - nothing disappears like on her.

She put a lot under the eye 😱
I thought it was serum then cream
I do serums before any creams, but I don’t think it makes too much difference
