A kick beat and buzzing bass that escalates things awesomely. I think it's just very faithful to the original. You're right-- he shouldn't make money off of this, but he did give a song that a lot of people have listened to death a fresh appeal.
Oh god... After the static at the beginning it turned amazing then @ 1:34 it turned back to shit. You had the right idea but made too many wrong turns. I suggest revisiting this tune later - A lot of potential in this.
TL;DR If you have nothing intelligent to add, add nothing! There are so many twists and turns in this remix that I defy anyone to write a sensible, music oriented post criticising the whole tune. Your post, sir, is not what I’m after, as all you do is say, “good at 0X:YY, then shit” please tell us why you think the majority of the remix is “shit”: descriptions of what you believe Alex Metric has done to arrive at a particular sound, or the ethos behind the production of a bit you are criticising is the only way we can have a real discussion about the track; for inspiration, note that I am primarily a sound engineer, so if you read some of my posts on remixed tracks, it should give you some inspiration, however I have been called in to salvage tracks when the budget is nearly all spent and the label want to know if there is a viable track to be had from the first producer’s fuck up, so I also have to wear my Producer’s Hat, I’m not certain, but I suspect I must have made some comments from that perspective… I really look forward to telling you what I believe is good and/or novel about this remix and why it is thus NOT shit… I realise that you wrote this comment 11 years ago, but I’ve just checked your channel and you added a track to a playlist 3 months ago so, with the magic of Notifications, you should get notice of my challenge to you. BTW I am completely serious: I would love to actually discuss modern-ish remixes in an intelligent manner; sadly I believe that you are somebody who is emboldened by the anonymity of t’internet and so, being able to type “shit” made you feel, just for a moment, like you too were a Beasty Boy, instead of somebody whose job allows them no real power at all, except the occasional chance to fuck up someone’s day by refusing to use the tiny amount of discretion you are granted to do them a solid and then feeling manly; in short, a real jobsworth (it’s a British English term which, since I’ve levelled it at you, you really ought to use Google to look it up. I got a top definition from Oxford Languages {which provide the dictionaries to Google’s products, but you might well get a different top definition depending on your location. BTW, which country is home to you?} so you know exactly what I’m saying about you in public).

This is the internet, and apparently you aren't allowed to criticize anything.

don't like it. all that was done here is that they put some weak kick beat on an song that is originally so full of energy.weak.just weak. my opinion.
