- A quick look at my new toy. TransAm has recently built LS1 with Torquer V2 cam, headers, Borla exhaust, cutouts, Weld Racing wheels, Nitto drag radials, K&N filter, lid, Hurst shifter and more. Put down 355RWHP as is. Hoping to do much more as I work on it...

Once I saw it on the dyno i recognized you as the guy that dyno'd a lawn mower... Very clean car man! I can't wait to get one to put next to my 25th anniversary in the garage!
There ya go! You won't be disappointed. Lotta car for not a lot of money. 2000 through 2002 were the better years for that car. Just be patient like I did and you'll find a real deal! Post it up if ya connect on one

I'm going to look into the LS6 intake soon. Just realized it's got 4.10 gears in there, so that's why my launches are so incredible! Got lots more vids to come, so subscribe and I'll get more posted up!

@tyler62292 Will do bro! And it's already set up with headers (no cats, don't tell anybody) and a cutout, so it's already pretty much straight. ;)
Put some edelbrock headers and 3" flowmaster exhaust on it and it will sound awesome!! I had one of these back in the mid 90's badass car!
@jgunther10 After the build, I've got about $10k into it total, including purchase price of the car...
I got a tire replacement coming up on the TA, so I think a burnout vid is definitely in order ;)

@srrymonkey Yeah man, it's a beating! Really tough getting to things. Took me like 5hrs to change the spark plugs :(

@bsmith223322 I'm guessing your not familiar with the family of Fbod owners. It's a LARGE following indeed. I might give you that on the Sunfire or the Grand Am, but certainly not the Fbody, GTO or G8. They were not the typical Pontiac ;)

@rekjavicxxx I fugure $150. Its powdercoated black, ported/polished and the butterfly is even knife edged. You gonna reuse your aluminum block, or you gonna go iron like i did?

I'm guessing that it's an A4 since you're only putting down 350-some to the wheels? I'm looking to put the same cam in my 98 LS1 this summer. Nice work dude.

@rekjavicxxx Im waiting on my driveshaft, and the yoke to fit the Moser. If i knew it was gonna be this big of a deal i would have just bought the Moser driveshaft!

I'm actually surprised ya even got the FAST for that cheap. It's always digits when ya start doin this stuff....especially when ya do it right. Guess mine's gonna be about $13k to get back on the road :(

yeh man idk a friend of mine got an 01 ws6 with 70k on it for that price. I would go a little lower. put like 7500 obo, I wouldnt take any less than $6,700. It sounds pretty sweet man you got a vid of it? btw the 90s phone is really badass. lol why not just keep it?
I'm into imports not really a American muscle guy but what is a WS6? is it the engine or what? I heard they're pretty good cars & too look em up. yours is very clean..
Yeah, I'm lovin this car!! It does not have the LS6 intake, so I'm definitely going to invest in that. It does have the long tube headers, so I'm good there, however, I may replace them with some stainless headers when I install the Dart stage 3 heads I've got. Can't wait for that little project!!! Stay tuned....

It's damn near impossible to find any kind of ls1 around here for less than 10k with decent mileage

My god don't use dart heads. AFR or TRICKFLOW. I ran afr 205 on my ls1 and ran close to 10's n/a on a 3,700lbs car with me in it. I never seen dart heads do anything great.

If you go with the Camaro, get at least a 98 (preferably a 99 or newer). They had the LS1 powerhouse in em. That is one beast of a motor in that series car!!! The LT1 prior to 98 wasn't quite as strong.
@wrknunderpresure I guess I could consider that. If I go that direction though, then I've gotta basically start all over on my intake, etc.....and there goes more money. :(
In this vid they had Mac mid-length headers. Now I've got Hooker stainless long-tubes on the car. Check out my latest build up vid of the car. It's a video response to this one ;)

@MarshallTK 2001 and 2002 came with LS6 intake. There's your difference ;)
Cam was already in the car, so I'm not entirely positive of lift/duration...

Yeah, you're definitely right about it being much longer than anticipated. Some unexpected changes with the build arose, so it's gonna be a couple more months before there's any more updates. Hang in there though man. Appreciate ya checking :)
Got the LS6 intake already. Gonna start the build once I get everything airbrushed. Already have a cutout on there, so it sounds pretty sick!
