The featuring artist was Yoon Do Hyun from the band YB doing those metal screams! YB was formed in 1996, and is one of Korea's top rock bands. They were the first Korean band ever to perform at SXSW, and also did Warped Tour in 2009!
Thank you for recognizing the drumming, I haven't seen as many people talking about the double bass kick in this. Gunil is a fantastic drummer, this song especially showcases his skill.
The long haired guy right before the scream was Jooyeon whos a main singer and their bassist. The scream was the feature, yoon do hyun, his band YB is the only rock/metal band to get any real popularity out side the limited band culture there. He was just in the green distorted scene, i think he couldn't get to the set for the music video but Im not sure.
I definitely see what you mean with the emo screamo vibes! To me personally it reminds me a lot of pierce the veil. I’m a huge fan of this comeback and I really hope they continue to go down this route it’s so fun and energetic and cathartic!!
You guys should listen to their live version, the studio is like being soften, while tha live is much raw n impactful! As a metalhead, i really suggest you listen to their live😂
As a die hard metal head and die hard K-pop fan (I can't call myself a stan it just creeps me out), I have loved XH since day 1. It makes me so happy to see you guys branch out to kpop, etc. because oddly they are quite parallel. The only thing that bothers me is that you keep calling them extraordinary heroes. Even though XDinary is an abbreviated form of extraordinary, it's pronounced literally like it's spelled "ex-di-nary". It's the band's way of saying that anyone can be a hero. Love you guys and I will have to see what all you've watched so I can Make some recommendations. 🤘🏼🖤🫰🏼
I call myself a Stan, because that means I’m in their fandom and the fandom name is “Villains,” so I can telling all those other kpop fans that I’m a Villain 😭 I’m a simple creature, being called a Villain makes me happy
@@tazthecat5258 I've been a villain since day one first gen and very proud. The reason I don't like the word Stan is because I come from the Eminem era where it means "stalker fan".
@@annabelleshukites7929 To each their own, I really don’t completely know what you mean, but I kinda get it. In the end, you’re a fan too and that’s all that matters
In my opinion I think it was a good start to change the style a little, I am a big fan of these guys and I think they can reach the goal, the song in my opinion is more emo vibes than metal but I am aware that they make variations of rock, pop and punk so I feel satisfied
It doesn’t feel emo at all, the parallels to alt metal/post grunge seem way stronger. I’d compare it to, say, Breaking Benjamin over MCR or PATD-vocals aside, it’s way heavier than most of what’s classified as emo.
I saw the reaction to Blackpink's Pink Venom and since comments are off, I wanted to let you know that it was played at a very fast speed, please check it out, thanks.

I'm a fan of Xdinary Heroes and a fan of Metal, so when I first heard this I absolutely lost it 😅❤

The live version is even better
You can hear the instruments better and it’s so alive
I’m in love with it
THE LIVE VERSION IS CHEF'S KISS
All of their live version are better. I want a live album so badly but I can’t think of any Korean group that I listen to doing so
The screeaammoo is the feature in this awesome song! Thank you so much for reacting to them.
i can recommend their live performances of "moneyball" and "paint it" !!
The lyrics are so good too, like this song is just sick bro. Loved your reaction, I reacted the same way as well 🫵

Their drummer graduates from Berkeley with a degree in drumming.
Berklee College of Music-Berkeley is a completely different institution haha.
