That Warden recurve from Cabela's ( made by Fleetwood archery) was the first recurve (50lb) that I shot and with the correctly spined arrows actually shot really well.
There are a lot of my favorite people I've begged to do something with the recurve. Makes me super happy you're the first one to take action. Thank you for all of the content you put out brother. I don't see you doing anything other than getting bigger and bigger throughout the years keep being great

Your left leg should go through the long bow...string above thigh, bow below. Support the lower tip with the top part of your right foot. Use your left hand to pull the top tip toward you and slip the string on.
Recurve without any shooting glove or finger tab protector ... it has a guy jerking the release to avoid pain instead of letting the string just slide off your fingers. Just saying. My budget never allowed fancy gear so newly married in 1973 I had a 45# bear recurve for myself and a 35# for the wife. We joined an archery club and everyone there had compounds. 1st time there and we quickly saw their flight path was almost straight line. Ours sort of lobbed in like a catapult round. The guys were trying hard to encourage us ... but they over helped the Mrs. She got so embarrassed she never wanted to go back. Money was tight so we saved club fees. I never hunted with it or anything else once married ... had to focus on getting food on the table and a roof over our head. Anyway ... thats why I like watching you. Great stuff ... & no equipment cost.

I would love to see you practice with the traditional bow and shoot a deer with it next season. I’ve been practicing with my recurve all summer and hunted with it all season and missed a doe with it. It’s much more of a challenge and could be something very cool for you to do.
