OMG!!!!🎉 I just finished day 2 in this shoe. Easy run with 300 repeats and a progressive long run. It might be MY Cinderella shoe. Perfect for my slower pace and heavy weight. Asics SB for long workouts, Brooks GM2 for short and fast, Puma MM for Slow and long and Puma DN2/3 for fun/speedy/medium long. My family Shoe is complete.
This is well translated but I think the magnify 2 isn’t as plush as the nimbus series, MagMax isn’t as versatile as the Superblast. The rest… I’m good with
I'm no shoes expert, but have read a lot about different pair of shoes lately and what I've understood is Asics Superblast 2 is much lighter and more breathable than Puma Magmax nitro. Price is also higher. I am actually stuck between these two and still not able to decide which one to go for. Price is almost similar in my country.
Nice review Aubrey. Bouncy AF 😂 Cool puns aside, high stack soft shoes don't agree with me; I like to 'feel the road'. The Deviate Nitro 2 is more than soft enough for me. I just managed to score another pair from Start Fitness in the UK on ebay. 8 days to get to me in New Zealand ! That's what I call service 🥇
You’re so right and I think that would be a great watch too! I don’t have the More V5 just yet but I do have a few others which I’m filming tomorrow. Keep the ideas coming
I'm in the market for a recovery shoe to replace the soon-be-retired More v4. The MagMax is on the list of possible replacements. What concerns me is the 8 mm heel drop, which seems aggressive for a mid-to-forefoot runner like me. The other options are the More v5, Ghost Max 2, and the Topo Atmos. Thx, Aubrey.
@@garethmorgan7474 That was just my question. Like there are so many factors to it... I can just make a video discussing how this shoe topped up on Asics main seller.
@@garethmorgan7474 I hated the Nimbus 25 but loved the 26 (Coz I'm a pronator with flat feed PwFF). So, automatically as a heavy runner and PwFF, I am inclined to use cushioned shoes, but to enjoy the cushion I need a stable ride. 26 was more stable for me and I could only feel the midsole Energy return in 26 Coz my foot could stay more stable. 25 gave me shin splints. But before buying the 26, I had already bought the Gel Kayano (Which was heavier but way more stable). So, the 26 felt like a less stable and less heavy Gel Kayano 🤣🤣. I think you will feel that way about Puma Velocity 3 (Which is definitely more stable than the Nimbus 25), Puma MagMax and if they decide to produce a high stacked Forever run 🤣🤣 There you go...my thoughts.
@AubreyRunning Aaah man honestly my wallet takes a pounding 😂😂 Next purchase at end of week is going to be the Hoka Tecton X3 so that's another £250+ blown, she's going mad 😎
Love the Magnify 2 but £170 for the magmax is abit pricey for these at the minute when you can get the Magnify 2 under £100 at the minute. Also, what's 6mm between friends? :P
I just bought the adizero sl2, and I'm thinking of training for my first marathon aswell. I'm also thinking of buying a second pair, and was thinking boston 12's. But what shoe would you recommend along side my Adizero's?
@@AubreyRunning No real specific purpose really, but the SL2 is my every day trainer. The main reason, is to switch between these shoes and extend the lifetime by splitting the miles ran in them. So either another everyday trainer, or a long run shoe.
Yeah to me these seem the same as the superblast in terms of stack height, premium foam and no plate Edit: I just read some more it seems it’s not pumas premium foam. So it’s a step down from the superblast
@@andy_runs305 yeah puma has 1 more mm stack in the heel and forefoot but is 40grams heavier. It will depend if the foam is energetic and responsive like the superblast
I hope this one is slightly firmer and more responsive than Nimbus25 as a replacement. Nimbus is too squishybunder foot after 5 miles, and my long runs and easy runs are getting longer.
@AubreyRunning this sounds near perfect. I sink into the Nimbus25, probably because I'm heavy and slow. The Brooks HM2 is a little too firm for my longer slow runs, so I'm hoping this will fill the gap.
Ooohhhh that’s a tough call, I’m anxiously waiting to try the More V5 because that would be the fair comparison. I’d you compare it to the V4 then I’d pick this one
Can we stop mentioning world athletics racing rules. They literally have nothing to do with the creation of most shoes and have nothing to do with 99% of people. Adidas broke no rules with the Prime X and most people can race any distance they want with that shoe.
Puma has terrible fit - deviate 2 and velocity both has very narrow fit - and i dont even have wide feet !!!! Who does make daily trainer that narrow 🤔 Forever run on other hand has perfect fit in toebox area but ancle colar is so wierdly constructed that is not posible to run more than 8-10km without need of band aid Please mind that people tend to forget that fit is the most important part of running shoe... so until they fix fit, i do not care how good their foams are - they coud install invisible springs there and i wont get another puma rubishly fit shoe hahaha
Yeah that’s the tricky part about shoes, we will all have different feet and running styles and therefore different experiences. They fit me really well but I understand that not everyone will feel this way.
I have deviate 2 and just barely squeeze into it, I also have puma stability shoe forever run nitro and the toe box is so much more forgiving. So if this fits like forever run I am wanting to try it, but avoiding deviates ….
You're making me spend to much money on Puma's shoes. My DNE3 not even got delivered and I'm gonna buy this one too 😅 Greetings from Brazil!
I’m a fan of the brand but will always call out where I feel I would have preferred things done differently.

Puma simply nailed it with this one. Love it through and through
I have to pick these up now. I always appreciate your reviews man!!
😂😂😂 nothing like a new pair of shoes. But… only if need them 😂😂😂😂
so in Asics term
Puma Magnify 2 = Asics Gel Nimbus 26
Puma MagMax Nitro = Asics Superblast 2
Puma Deviate Nitro 3 = Asics Magicspeed 4
Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 3 = Asics Metaspeed Paris
En verdad este par compite con el superblast hermano

Interesting observation on the out sole. I can't wait to try it out. 👌🏽 I have the Magnify. Absolutely love it.

My comparison video will be live in 25 minutes, watch that to find out
these look like a bigger Foreverrun Nitro, but with a more traditional step in feel
And higher stack! Much more stack! I love the forever run but don’t need the stability it offers
Hello Puma. When will the Puma MagMax Nitro be available in the Philippines?
I wish I could help with that but sorry I don’t know
Would you take MagMax or Deviate Nitro for long runs? I do some long runs with marathon and half marathon pace mixed in.
Anything easy, recovery pace… MagMax. Anything that requires pacing then Deviate series
I just wish the color ways were better, or that they'd at least restock the all white.
They might be bringing out different. I know they have already released a few new colours

Very tough call but I’d say X1, glycerin Max and the MagMax
Aubrey would you say this is better/same/worst than the Brooks Ghost Max?
I feel the stack height and cushioning much more in this one (46mm does that I guess)
Hello Aubrey I want to ask you.. which is most max bouncy cushioning this puma or hoka skyward x or prime x2 strung????

Hello ?
What will they be like for walking only?
I would t recommend them for walking because of the high stack height.
Gracias 👍
how would you say it handles pace?
It’s not one for pace… Deviate series for that
Is the rocker a little stiff or does it bend easily?
With this shoe not having a carbon plate I’d say it bends easily and that’s what makes it the easy run specialist it is
