I don't think there doing it I heard out Truex mouth Joe Gibbs was making it happen somehow Gibbs is either funding it or there letting him have a 5th car for one race don't think there's any rules against him going in a one race ride if there is that's why he would be at Tricon cause 23xi has 3 cars now and Gibbs with 4 they have there capped cars allowed entry already
honestly, they really shouldn't at least at this moment. Maybe if a new manufacturer joins we can raise all of the field to the 42 but at the moment I think this Daytona is just a rarity for the amount of cars showing up.
It only took about 3 years after winning in SRX at Five Flags for Helio to finally get his promised Daytona 500 ride. The more entries the better. The duels will be way more interesting.

I Am brazilian and a Huge Fan of Helinho Castroneves, He in this race will be Historic for Brazil in nascar! Obs: The first brazilian and only for now in Daytona 500 was Christian Fittipaldi in the Two thousand decade.

Haleo great driver in Indy however we all know the NASCAR especially the next gen is a major major difference and with so many cars qualifying I don't see him making race. Too much experience drivers qualifying that do this every year.
Speaking of the beginning of this season, are you going to Homestead? Me, Clabel, and Kamikaze were gonna go together but Kamikaze changed his mind so I have a spare ticket if you want it.
I would like to see scotty mclaughlin in thdaytona 500 .also the daytona 500 should have 44 cars in the race .like the indy500 with 33 cars in the race .nascar needs to start a tradition from here with 44 cars always starting the 500

Most of you weren't around when the cars were "stock cars", the drivers were real men/women and not a bunch of rich cry babies and spoiled brats when the racing was great !! Today's NASCRAP is more like the IROC series....
You need to look at your history before you announce something in the 80s there was over 60 cars that tried to qualify for the Daytona 500 so those lousy 49 cars in 2015 is not a record

They should bring back the 43 car fields for the super speedways.
Daytona only had 40 pit areas
