2008 was just a pure comedy act (from 3 comedians which can't even sing, the name of the group is literally Crazy Radio): random female dancers, artificial suns, plates with painted fruits and vegetables and of course, random nonsense lyrics in different languages, it was really fun :) Estonia is a very different in Eurovision. I also don't hate any of their entries (except, maybe, 2020), I like even these duets (2015 and 2017), it's so rare for me. Another unpopular opinion from me: I choose 2016, it's a very captivating pop song to me, creates some really mysterious atmosphere, I don't know why myself. And he finished dead last of the whole contest! Still can't understand how on earth it could've happened.
In 2008 happened this, that we, Estonians, were sick of not qualifying since 2004 and people just saw this contest as a popularity contest, where the size of the country matters and if you are a small country you have no chance. So 50 000 people voted for Kreisiraadio in our national final... I think Leto Svet is our worst song in Eurovision. My favourite is probably Ott Lepland - Kuula.
It was a pretty stupid decision to send them and throw all that broadcast money to the sky because competing in Eurovision is astronomically very expensive down to every last second. That year had very strong competitors like Birgit with 365 days and Iiris with Ice Cold Story, that could have had a big impact on Eurovision. These sort of decisions really speak on the IQ of the nation sometimes.
Love Estonia in ESC. Always find a song or 2 that i love from Eesti Laul every year...... To pick my favourite from these entries is not an easy task...... Trying to disassociate myself from an emotional tie of being in Lisbon for 2018. ("La Forza" was one of 2 vocal masterpieces on the night. The other being "Mall" sung by Eugent Bushpepa from Albania. Both mind-blowing). Also love "Goodbye To Yesterday" but the song that passes the test of time for me is "Kula". So stripped back with no frills but great vocals and a composition that tares away the boundaries of language. Bravo Estonia!!👏👏👏

Do not take only outakes, listen them full lenght. Thr first about 10 years we🇪🇪 had good songs, later on kinda bad period(as leto svet was made by a known comedy group to make fun over it). Most artists from 🇪🇪Estonia, the firls were underaged, one had even problems by the national Eurovision cos she was too young and at wirst was not allowed to partisepate, later got s special premission.
