I am sorry but after 120 years Ford still hasnt managed to get even their logos to last a few years. So you might very likely have more luck with aftermarket producers.
Cheaper badges, you mean like ford use!! , hence the reason all ford badges are blistered and peeling off, kinda of like the inferior door seals they used with 99.9% hanging out the doors, not to mention the mess they made of the ventilation behind the rear bumper with zero sealant used to trap out water entering the vehicle, hence the fish tank boot floor full of water, maybe I'll call in fords for some free goldfish... all to save money and maximise profits,let's cheapen it up and make a mess of what potentially could have been a decent car.. Recalls should definitely been addressed , absolutely shocking fords. So Glad I got shut of that nightmare called fords.
I done mine today and the best thing I found was use tar remover I used auto Glyn lift the boot up sorted it in tar remover for about 10 minutes once you got it lifted then it peels of and then use a plastic scraper and tar stuff softened all the glue once I scraped off a clean rag wipe it clean hope this help took about half hour
Hi... What do you think can be the problem with a cheap emblem from China? Because there is a big price difference... Maybe it's not stick for longer times..? Greetings
I'had do this today. Pull off was no problem, just hand was enough. I have the Limousine, there are two holes in the middle. Put on but its not stuck.. It's a cheap one from China, but only the glue content is the problem, maybe of the minimum space to attach😢

I have a Mk3 hatchback. My boot in now leaking like a sieve. My local garage can't repair it and Ford won't take responsibility. They have spot welded it during manufacturing and are saying it's been in an accident, which it hasn't.
If the replacement badge is self adhesive, wouldn't it be easier to simply stick it over the original and save the hassle of removing it? Just wondering.
You can for a quick fix (if selling the car etc) but the water within the original badge (which has caused the corrosion) will still be there and will eventually push the new badge off. Removing the original badge also gives a good clean flat surface for the adhesive to stick to. Hope this helps
It’s not so much rust as like body rust.. more so that water gets underneath the blue layer of the badge which is like a paper and basically kinda pulls it off

to remove old badge use sewing string instead. 0 risk of scratching the paint. no need to use tape or screwdriver

They don’t last very long. Either becoming unstuck or the water corrodes the badge quick

As long as you use some decent tape (not thin) and take your time it will be fine 👍🏻🙂
A squirt of label remover would have saved a lot of trouble.
