@@michaelmccarthy4077 particularly here in Western Australia. I’m hoping that my back is recovered for next season. If it is I’ll definitely get out bush and film some.
I love those Western Australia natives! I can’t wait until they’re available over here. Is the WA climate considered “Mediterranean” or is it something else?
Hi Stephen, Perth, where I am at is Mediterranean climate. However, WA is a HUGE state and has areas that are much colder and much HOTTER and drier than where I am. I don't think that any of the Western Australian orchids will ever make it into international markets. They are still RARE and few and far between to purchase legally here in WA. King's Park and The Friends of King's Park were working on hybridizing WA orchids for sale to the wider Perth community...then...some Ahole broke into the Park and dug up hundreds of them. They have not offered any for sale since.
@ oh wow! Sorry to hear that! Hopefully they make them available in the market. We’ve seen time and time again that patching plummets when rare species are commonly bred and sold by nurseries.
