Nice video however one major step may have been missed: Our 2020 GT5 has an "external shower" in the wet bay and the video did not mention opening the outside shower hot and cold to get antifreeze through that part of the water system. There also are check valves in the fresh tank fill fitting, the black tank flush fitting, and the city water fitting. If air pressure is not used to try and force any water in those lines out there is a possibility that damage could result, especially to the black tank anti-siphon fitting and that thing usually is buried somewhere. It takes almost 7 gallons of RV antifreeze to do our GT5 34H5.

If I want to sanitize my unit I would follow all these steps minus bypassing the water heater since I would want to sanitize it? Or does bleach interact with the anode rod? My previous unit had a sanitize setting and no anode rod.

If it is diluted enough, you should be fine. The main issue is a tank water heater, that does not always drain 100%...just make sure you flush it really well to get all residual out.

Why would you drain faucets back into the tanks you just emptied? Shouldn’t you reverse that order?

Should it be reversed? Maybe, but you end up running antifreeze through all of the faucets and shower anyway and that antifreeze will normally sit in the tanks, unless the dump valves are left open during this process.

Omgggg so many unanswered questions .. should have stuck with the old school where you just add a little antifreeze to the drains and go on. Day 2 and I'm frozen again.
I am to the part where you add the antifreeze. It says to turn on the water pump and then say it has to be primed in order to pull it through .. does just turning it on do that? Because i did, then started turning the kitchen sink faucet on and it is spitting quite a bit of water but no antifreeze is being pulled from the bottle. I dont want to burn up the pump??

Primed means you have water in the lines. If the pump is close by (as in you can see it), then make sure the valve is turned the right way. It should be in-line with the pump, which means open.

I emptied the low (red) waterline (which was a real pain to get open) - you didn't mention the blue?? I called the dealer service for another question and they told me I had to do both ... Then i went on to the other steps. The white-ish one you show in the video? I turned all 4 the way the video shows and water was coming out .. but no antifreeze was being pulled out.

There is typically two low point drains (hot and cold) and a fresh tank drain that needs to be opened.

@@ForestRiverMotorized yes, all were drained .. I followed the video, and you opened the red but you didnt mention the blue - i went ahead and did it because Service said to. I did the hot water heater, inserted the hose and went in and turned the pump on, turned the kitchen faucet on and some water came out and then just started spitting out but the antifreeze wasnt being pulled into the hose ?? Help!!

It looks like it is just pulling from the water fresh tank maybe? You need to make sure the valve at the winterizing take up tube is properly set. There is a 3 way valve where the take up tube ties into the water lines. The valve should point to the take up tube line.
