Length "Sundown" is a haunting yet rocking b-side featured on the UK single of Victrola by US rock outfit Veruca Salt. Fronted by Louise Post and Nina Gordon in its heyday, Veruca Salt was known for its gutsy rock sound. "Sundown" is a track that exemplifies this reputation for ever so slightly unpolished but seriously powerful modern rock. "Sundown" was written about Kurt Cobain, after his suicide in 1994
Goodnight moon, Goodnight mush Goodnight ladies saying hush Goodnight moon, Goodnight mush Goodnight ladies saying hush See the sun falling down Still one of my favorite songs
Yep I have added their FB page, since learning they were back together. Thanks for the heads up though :) It's awesome hearing their updates & seeing the vintage photos they're putting up! I've seen them a couple of times, and Louise is awesome of course. But there's something special about the original line-up of a band :)
Yeah this song in particularly sounds very nirvanna esque with certain phrasing feeling very reminiscing to something Kurt would say but yo I wonder what other hidden gems/demos do they have that in thier vault
I have never seen them live :( but now they are back together maybe one day I can...Trisha if you have Facebook or twitter they update it everyday just a heads up
I pretty much won't even call myself a "Fan" these days if I don't know the B-sides and like everything they've ever done. Maybe it's just because I used to stay online and chat for hours in like 1999 and Download Garbage B-sides from Every god damn directions research the bands find the Lineups find what the lead singers think about their biographies i've made fan apperication web pages for celebrities I at the time was teetering on being obsessed with and Waver in and out of obsessive cycles no matter how "peaceful" of an individual I am but I pretty much have become a nazi about what i mean when I say i'm a "fan" of something. I'm a "fan" of Garbage and Everclear. I "Listen to" and "Like" Nearly everything. #Overlyobsessedfansaretheonlyrealfansthatthereare. but yeah to this day I would probably buy Garbage Bootlegs if i found them. especially if they had live performances of one of the B-sides. I don’t know, the internet made me prettty relucant to call myself a “fan” unless i was a completionist nutjob about something. i feel all humbled wheneer someone is “into” something because i’m all like Nah I won’t… I feel bad pretending I like it because I’m not certain I’m as into is as you are and until I am I’m just gonna feel all bawkwardd and pretentious trying to be like Oh yah I like them too. #Thankyouinternetfordoingthistome. @trisha F So I'm EXPLORING "Gaps" in my enjoyment of of Veruca salt this morning so maybe someday I can actually call myself a fan! #cyclicalobsessions Yay! Right? Thank you for Enabling me!
No worries :) It's probably my fave VS song. I have the CD single it comes on and it's definitely the song of theirs I've listened to most (you can tell from my Last.fm charts :D username - earthcrossing)

Just recently discovered this band. I really enjoy their 90s sound. Takes me back to a darker but better era
