Hi Andy. Appreciate the feedback. My goal is actionable education. Hopefully it's practical and useful. Please let me know any other topics you'd like to see in the future. I'd recommend checking out my essential playlist so you have a good foundation.
@@kevincortese7751 every morning when I go to work I have a 40 minute drive I listen to your stuff! The way you back test is real deal. As a beginner trader I’m listening to all these other trader talk about this strategy and that indicator but there’s no back testing. There’s no proof there’s no reliability it’s just fluff. You’re teaching Is actually making me money and I’m thankful🙏👍👍
Hi Andy. I agree. Everyone has an opinion but I feel it should be backed up by some sort of evidence. Happy to see you're putting in the time. It'll payoff in a big way.
The paid TV plan I have allows 10K historical candles, which is only about a month's worth of backtesting. I'm working on going through more data within MT4, which goes back years, but the jury is still out. Why don't you backtest the 5m data you can first and let me know your results?
First of all, thank you for your efforts and your work! Since my English isn't that good, I have to watch the video again from the middle when the moving averages change and then I'll start backtesting and trying things out 🙂 Another possibility would be, for example, to split the trade into 3 parts, part one taking profit at RR1:2, part 2 at Cross EMA 50 and part 3 at Cross Supertrend....
In my test both EMA and supertrend did better than 1:2 so I personally wouldn't take any at 1:2 but feel free to test different combos out. Hopefully video is clear to you. When you get a buy signal you want to see the faster moving average above the slower moving average (50 higher than 200 for example) and when get sell signal also want the faster MA below the slower MA (50 below 200 for example). For buy want price above both MA and when selling want price below both MA. Download the spreadsheet in the description and good luck.
I agree. I backtest in worst case scenario. I have backtested the S&P back to 1920's but focus on 1957 to current since the S&P 500 became that in 1957. I backtested NASDAQ from the beginning in early 70's. I don't have computer software to help. I use pen and paper with yahoo finance chart. This is how I am very comfortable knowing when bear markets are over.
Your dedication is amazing! A simple spreadsheet can help you keep track, slick and dice the numbers and look at it from different angles. That's how I was able to test 171 different combinations. Either way, keep up the good work!!
I appreciate how clear and technical you get ! Thanks man!

@@kevincortese7751 Agreed. What were your findings on using this strategy With the 5 min TF, if you don't mind me asking?

so we just change the value of our moving average to 20/50, 10/20 and the rest conditions that are mentioned remain the same at 4:00 ?
Yes, exactly. Happy to see you testing it out for yourself.
no. I think we remove the vol as well
Amazing. Thanks
Hi Ed. Glad you enjoyed. Check out either my indicator or essential playlist.
Great video what are the setting for the pivot point super trend ?
It looks like I have different PPP ATR Factor and Atr period (2 3 10)
2, 3, 10. I show the values that I changed towards the beginning of the video but Pivot is default.
How can i add a supertrend alert in tradingview?
Search the TV indicators for supertrend pivot by Lonesome. Once it's on your chart you can right click and add an alert like normal.
love the music
Thanks Ramirrox. I feel like a DJ :)
