As an ex DCA Flight Service Officer, serving in Perth / Port Hedland and Kununurra I got to know these aircraft and their remarkable performance on many different runways and weather conditions. These trials at Bacchus Marsh were put to the test in July 1971 when VH-FKC landed at Fitzroy Crossing. Maybe Fokker new something??
Nice! My first time was an F100 in 1990. I was amazed that Fokker was still in business, because the only Fokker plane I knew was the Red Baron's WWI triplane.
My mother flew Fokker f28s for Horizon Airlines.
I remember watching this very same aircraft PH-MOL operatng between GLA and AMS for Air UK in the eighties.
