- A wonderful lecture about the metaphysics of evil by leading Islamic intellectual Seyyed Hossein Nasr.
Seyyed Hossein Nasr is an Iranian professor emeritus of Islamic studies at George Washington University,[2] and an Islamic philosopher. He is the author of scholarly books and articles.
Nasr speaks and writes based on subjects such as philosophy, religion, spirituality, music, art, architecture, science, literature, civilizational dialogues, and the natural environment. He also wrote two books of poetry (namely Poems of the Way and The Pilgrimage of Life and the Wisdom of Rumi), and has been described as a 'polymath'.

Is it not the case that most Muslims don't accept the notion that God is the Good (in the Platonic sense of that term)? According to the Ash'aris (the main theological school of Islam) "good" has no intrinsic reality; but rather what God does is good.
Correct. In fact not just Asharis. All Muslims believe that personal opinion is a Satanic trait when acted upon obsessively. Which is why Satan was cast away, not just for insisting he's better than Adam but going a step further and acting upon it and not bowing down. It is assumable that some of the Angels doubted Adam's position as the Symbol of God. But when they received the clear signs, they did not oppose the harmonious laws of the Universe. All in all, disorder is a reality to be accepted but that does not validate disorder.

no not power. only Allah and Allah alone has sole power. there are no higher or lower powers and nothing and none has or can have any formdegree or aspect of power.
