The last set that feels vintage to me is the 1988-89 Push-pin design of Topps & O-Pee-Chee. I think Topps/OPC had amazing designs every year up to 1991-92 which I dislike entirely. I feel like 1989-90 would have been crazy nice if they had white borders. I strongly prefer OPC that year. Always fun how O-Pee-Chee had exclusive cards as well. Great Gretzky from Shane, wow... The binder mark was it? Ring that Bobby Orr up! KSA's crack easy. Definitely looks like an authentic Orr auto. The tales that card would have to tell! Whew... I would want to have it authenticated by PSA but the character of the love may prevent me from wanting to put a modern holder on it. Most cards I'm worried about damaging further - but I may not feel the same about that one. Amazing cards, especially the loved auto!

Welcome to the hockey world!! I think 1988 Topps/OPC is the end of the “vintage” era with the Brett Hull RC. Like comics: ‘80’s is Bronze age, ‘70’s silver age, ‘60’s gold age, and ‘50’s and before platinum age?

We had a Snow storm about 3 inches or so I shoveled every hour.
according to one of John's ( Wade Boggs fan) friends it's 1988. he was saying that you still had packs with gum you still had the picture with the stats ect
So Hockey is different than Baseball in Baseball in 1981 we had 3 company's Topps , Donruss and Fleer in Hockey it was Topps and opechee
    .
heres the point alot of people are missing if you have say a 1974 and a 1978 using the perimters that supply's came out around 1979 or in the 80's
say a 1974 Yaz , Johnny Bench and a 1978 Ken Griffey Carlton Fisk they could have creases. now looking at those years say you have a
1974 Phil Esposito, Yvon Cournoyer a 1978 Guy Lafleur a Darryl Sittler these cards could have creases.
so in 1981 it's hard to say that Rickey Henderson isn't a vintage card but his rookie is 1980 same with Bjorges salming his 1979/ 1980 is vintage but his 1980/1981 isn't .
now looking at 1980's so for Don Mattingly , Wade Boggs , Cal Ripken because their in 3 different sets vs Ron Francis, Patrick Roy, Claude Lemiux
Mats Naslund who are only in one USA set we had supply's in the 80's so when collectors think of vintage they think of cards of the 60's like
Yaz, Brooks Robinson , Frank Robinson, Roger Maris for Hockey Mikata , Orr , Esposito cards with creases. , older designs ect.
it's certainly going to be a discussion that will never end.
if you ask me for vintage
1948 for Baseball all the way up to 1976
1977 to 1980 is newer vintage you see way more cards that are 10's than say a 1974 , 1973 , 1975. so 1976 to 1980 is newer vintage middle year design
1981 up to 1999 is older modern so players like Rickey Henderson , Wade Boggs , Tony Gwynn , Ryne Sandberg , Cal Ripken are in that category
2000 players like Trout , Yadier Molina , Buster Posey ect are Modern.
    Now for Hockey
the 50's Vintage would be like 1948 up to 1977
then in the late 70's I guess you can say players like Guy Lafleur , Darryl Sittler , Ron Dougay would be newer vintage newer looking designs and less creases.
then older Modern cards would be like Ron Frances, Patrick Roy, Bryan Leetch , Mark Messier ect
players in the 2000's like Patrick Kane , Jonathan Towes , Sydney Crosby, Ovechkin are Modern cards if you ask me.

nice 1967/1968 all star card ,
so which uniform / card do you like Resch best in Islanders , Devils or Rockies?
have you seen the 1963 opechee Gordie Howe the card with the flag on it if so from a card stand point Not that it's Howe but of the stand point
