2:29 - When you have a warm feeling of your childhood. 2:58 - When you try not to cry tears of joy/nostalgia, but could've help it since you're enjoying it so much. 3:10 - When tears of joy/nostalgia. I find this bit of music feel like tears of joy/childhood-like music.
That drum roll at 3:34.... Alan Silvestri is a genius at making people feel different emotions. It is ominous, but not foreboding just a wondrous mysterious feeling.
But remember Santa was always there for us, and he will be there for you, too, as long as we continue to believe in him, along with the magic of Christmas. All I want to say is, merry Christmas to one and all and a happy new year.
I will forever love the Polar Express, its such an adventurous movie. From the moment I first watched it to this day, its a nostalgic Christmas movie which I cherish deeply. Its always the music that gets me to love this movie, especially 8:03 , it always brings me back to good old days. I always replay to that part of the Soundtrack because its so magical, the composers were parts that made the movie what it is.
*boards the train to see his excited to see the bell and puts the ticket in his left pocket* Hero Girl: Come on, come on show us the bell. Billy: Don't worry, we'll find it. Know-It-All: Yeah we'll help you all of us. Hero Girl: Yeah lets hurry up and find it. *the train lurches forward, almost making them lose their balance* Hero Girl: Its too late... Know-It-All: Gee that's really too bad. Really. *looks over to him* Hero Girl: I'm sorry... 3:09 *the boy looking down with tears in his eyes, very sad that he lost the one thing that made him believe... and now its gone*

Ross Hoyt
So this means no real orchestra?
No haha. This is a pure recording of a live orchestra. If it was electronic, we would clearly be able to tell the difference.
