    Sedale Threatt had his best years as a Laker and helped with the loss of Magic as a steady PG.

    I saw Del Harris and I'm like wait what? He's not lakers coach until 95! And then I saw him on the Bucks bench and like oh ok that makes sense 😆

    11:24…Chick is my guy (RIP) but he very much got the call wrong. The ball was clearly NOT on the rim or over the cylinder when Campbell did his put back dunk. Good no call by the refs.

    • @nonplayerzealot4
      @nonplayerzealot4  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      True. I think Chick tried a little too hard at times to be unbiased. He was Lakers first and foremost, but wanted everyone to do well and be happy.

      True, thx. My homie Swissbeatz is the dude who encouraged me initially to include any good commercials if any. Most of my games don't have any, they're fully edited, but when I see some, I put em in. I skip the insurance and Prudential and crap like that and do things like hoops comms and Speedstick and Old Spice and shit like that. Like those old'ns. I'm 45 so I remember the late 80s dorky charm of commz.

      No, just the first dozen or so games. He attended games regularly tho as a fan. Had that seat behind the right side stanchion. I'm doin 92 Port vids rite now, btw, Chick versions. Gm 3 is a partial, but the Gm 5 at UNLV is full. Both done, but I gotta redo the UNLV gm. Will put em out side by side when I'm done.

    funny how the two coaches in this game later ended up coaching the opponent if you were ever curious about why dunleavy suddenly bolted from LA to coach a bucks team that was buried in the cellar, here's a good read about the whole situation
    behindthebuckpass.com/2018/09/22/milwaukee-bucks-how-mike-dunleavy-sr-was-lured-away-from-the-los-angeles-lakers/
    tl:dr: the bucks owner was infatuated with dunleavy for some reason and offered him a record amount of money to coach the team

      @@Ducksrule123 It's weird to think that he was one of the coaches trying to get to the Lakers. Mike D for the 2nd time. They kept falling like dominoes and Vogz was left. He's not bad, really. Last year we were screwed w/ the Brawn and AD injuries. Same will happen in 2021/2 if Brawn gets hurt again. Sucks how players like him and Malone go 15 plus years w/o an injury and as soon as they get to us, they fuckin get hurt by others. Even happened to Horry in 97 when Kersey fell into his knee vs SEA and tore his ACL. This was while Shaq was out w/ that knee injury at MIN. I got that on my chan, gruesome.

      @@nonplayerzealot4 i remember after phil left, they would always give dunleavy a "courtesy" interview before hiring a coach. who knows why. they did it before hiring brown and before they hired byron too. not sure if they interviewed him before luke too but i wouldn't be surprised
      to this day, the name scott williams still triggers me. that moron ruined the 03-04 season when he fell onto malone's knee. in bron's case, it doesn't really surprise me. guy's been in the league going on 18 years now and has all those finals runs under his belt, not to mention two olympics. those legs have got a lot of mileage on them to say the least

      @@Ducksrule123 Ugh. Those names, mang. Bar none, Brown's brand of bball was the WORST and the most UN-WANTING-TO-WATCHABLE offense of any Laker coach (I'll confidently include the ones in the olden daze). It was disgustingly boring and low scoring crap. Otoh, Walton drove me up the wall, Duxx. That guy was an absolute shithead and he's a drunk in his spare time and he was accused of sexually harassing that one tall chic who worked at Spectrum SportsNet. He NEVER changed shit that was CLEARLY costing the Lakers game after game after game after game. Brawn figured that shit out within 10 games under Walton. He said something like, "At some point, when you keep losing games for the same reasons, you have to change things up." I'll never understand why Luke was that way. He was way too laissez faire. Geawd. It was torturous for me. DavoBham is a friend of mine and he can confirm that. I would text him angry posts about Puke all the time. I remember Clarkson sitting behind him in a blown game at LAC and he was shaking his head w/ a disgusted puss and I knew exactly what he was feelin. It read on his face that he knew Walton sucked, and he wasn't even a good player then. Not really at least.
      Your Brawn take is fact, but he gets injuries from contact by defenders and it reminds me of Drew. Drew had bad knees, but what caused his injuries were landing on Odom's foot and Kobe falling into his knee. It makes you confused as to what to blame, the condition or the bad luck. Malone? Tell me that shit wasn't bad luck. His knee got sucked into Scott's fat ass. And then the rehab was all screwed up and he insisted on seeing his own doctor. In Drew's case, he had granules behind his patella that kept making his knee swell again and again after practices and flights and it took em months to figure out something else was wrong, so he had to have that stuff scraped off in another knee surgery.

      FWIW, I remember the Bucks offering Mike D a load of cash and a GM title to come back. He couldn't resist and Buss wasn't gonna match. So we just bumped up Pfund. In old games, the whole damn Bucks coaching squad were former Laker coaches, Hamblen, Del, Mike D. Then you had Magic, Riley, Pfund, and Scott in the game, making 7 Laker coaches in a single game when they played each other.

      Sedale was comin online around this time. Amazing jump from SEA to LA. I've NEVER seen him have a great game against LAL at least that I remember anyway. Not when he was in CHI, PHI, or SEA. And yet he had a supreme year in 92 and got the Lakers into the 8th seed on the last shot of the 82nd RS game. And he won at MIA at the buzz on Chick's bday in Nov. Two Ws he was directly responsible for. Otherwise we woulda been in that Shaq lottery and getting Todd Day or some shit.

      @RM Lakers Yep. I've always contended that the steal of that legendary 92 Draft was Latrell at 24 to GS. How he dropped that far is anyone's guess. I'd love to know because he would've had to mess up his predraft workouts or somethin. That's how Nick sunk to 37.
