Just love these "old" cutesy Nogi songs. They even had kawaii live performances like the 2015 Midsummer tour at Jinga stadium. One of my favorite performances since we still had MaiMai, Nanamin, and all the other nogichans in the group.
Nogizaka's rise to popularity in the early days has 3 key storylines that touch people's hearts in a way that no other group has ever equaled: the UnderGirls struggle for recognition, the 2nd generation girls lack of promotion and underutilization, and the tragedy of Himetan's dreams being shattered and her career cut short. When I discovered Nogizaka46 in 2020, much of my love and understanding of the group was through the many Chinese-speaking fan sites that discussed this in depth. Nogizaka fans have a love for the members that few others can understand if they haven't experienced it themselves, and the tears of the later generation members as they try to perform these early songs shows how much the early sacrifices resonate with them.
@@kureki147 All these years later, and it is amazing how close our feelings for them are to the surface of our emotions. The latest Under Girl MV was filmed at the same school as "Shortcut To Adulthood", and I could still imagine the spirits of all my 1st and 2nd gen Oshis there with them.
Just a couple of months ago they released English AI subs for Nogizakatte, Koko, and Nogiten. Finally, we could watch the under girls growth as persons and performers. In those early years, imagine how strong the unders were with performers like MaiMai, Asuka, Minami, Himetan, MisaMIsa, and so on. Also a bit sad to see Yamato Rina being a huge part of the shows until what happened, happened. (and I do not mean any disrespect to your favorite undergirl. Could not just list them all :)

この曲が誕生した2012年にスカパーのJリーグチャンネルのテーマであり、この年はガンバが降格圏に沈んでいて勝ったりまけたり浮き沈んでいて、まけた時にこの曲に励まされ諦めなければ残留できると信じ最後の最後まで応援することが出来ました。

I lived through the start of 3ki, watching my oshimen Himetan going away and Ranchan struggling, those were indeed sad but precious days.
